Let's talk fall fashion! Depending on where you live, it's either already jacket weather or it's coming soon. I rounded up the best fall jackets for a pear shape, so that you can layer up in style!
I used to dread jacket weather. With my pear shaped body, I felt like a bulky jacket looked terrible. In the last few years, I've invested in a few fall jackets that I absolutely love. The great thing about good outwear? It doesn't really go out of style. So you can wear your favorite fall jacket for YEARS.
The Best Fall Jackets for a Pear Shape
I own at least one jacket in each of these classic styles (and I live in CALIFORNIA). So if you live in cooler weather, pretty sure you'll get a ton of use out of them all!
Shop all Fall Jacket Options:
Animal Print Jacket: I've been on the HUNT for a perfect animal print (leopard to be exact) jacket for years, and I finally bit the bullet this fall. My personal favorite? Cabi Clothing‘s Josephine Coat (pictured here). I love the detachable sleeves and it's the PERFECT length. Another favorite? This leopard bomber jacket.
Bomber Jacket: Last year I grabbed a bomber jacket expecting that I'd wear it once in awhile, and it became my go to jacket. From jeans and sneakers to a t shirt dress, I wore it with EVERYTHING. It's such a great staple item for fall (or winter if it doesn't get THAT cold where you live) and I can guarantee bomber jackets aren't going out of style ANYTIME soon.
Jean Jacket: A great jean jacket is a staple in any fall wardrobe. As the weather cools you can layer it over almost anything. It will literally never go out of style.
Blazer: A blazer is a total classic right? It's also the jacket I wear the LEAST. You'd think as a teacher I would have worn blazers a lot. But it took awhile to find one I loved. My recent investment? A great plaid blazer that I can wear with jeans and a tshirt. Now, that? I love.
Puffer: If you live in cooler weather (basically not California), then a puffer jacket is a winter requirement. Right? I finally found one I loved for a trip to the snow, and realized that a great puffer jacket is probably a daily necessity for some of you. These? Puffer jackets that offer warmth and style.
Anorak: In a cooler climate, an anorak jacket is a GREAT layering piece. Last year, we snagged matching mommy and me anorak jackets during a sale. They were pricey, but we used them a TON (and I purposefully bought Lydia's in a larger size so she could grow into it. I think a great anorak is worth the investment.
Moto Jacket: Last and certainly not least, a great moto jacket. A moto jacket is my top choice for layering with fall dresses. A moto jacket is perfect with a sweater dress, t shirt dress or more formal holiday dress.
