Looking for the cute Disneyland outfits? I'm breaking down what to wear to Disneyland by season, and sharing my must-haves for comfortable and stylish days at the park!

Looking for the perfect Disneyland outfits? Pin this to remember what to wear to Disneyland by season!

Let's talk Disney days.  As Disneyland annual pass holders, we head to Disneyland a LOT.  And when I asked y'all what Disneyland questions you wanted answered…..a TON of you said, you wanted Disneyland outfits tips.  You wanted to know what to wear to Disneyland.  What was actually comfortable? What lasts all day? What do we wear at different times of the year?  So, I'm breaking it all down.  What to wear to Disneyland by season.

A few general rules of thumb: think comfort, think long wear (something you can wear for 12 – 18 hours), think being on your feet, and bring layers.  The temperature in the early morning and evening can be SIGNIFICANTLY cooler than mid-day temperatures in Anaheim.

What to Wear to Disneyland By Season

Cute Disneyland Outfits for Fall / Spring:

/ tee / jeans / sneakers / ears /

In Fall and Spring, the weather tends to be very easy for Disneyland outfits (that's why we pay those ridiculous Southern California housing prices).  You'll be set with some light layers.  My go-to cute Disneyland outfits in fall and spring? A comfortable pair of stretchy jeans, a cute Disney tee, comfortable shoes and a light sweatshirt or a light jacket for morning and evening.

Shop my favorite Disney Tees:

Another option for Disneyland outfits for spring or fall? I love a great dress that can easily be layered with a jean jacket or sweater.  These Hill House Nap Dresses are my favorite for all day comfy park wear!

Disneyland Outfits for Winter:

Looking for the perfect Disneyland outfits for winter? Pin this to remember what to wear to Disneyland in the cold!Shop my Exact Outfit:

/ sweatshirt (similar) / jeans / sneakers /

While we don't exactly have snow here in LA, during the winter the temperatures at Disneyland can get pretty cold.  Plan for multiple layers, and bring a hat and scarf for those cold mornings and evenings.  I tend to layer a long-sleeved tee and sweatshirt, plus bring a jacket.  My latest favorite? A great spirit jersey and a thick sweatshirt.

Disneyland Outfits for Summer:

Shop my Exact Outfit:

/ tee (similar) / shorts (similar) / sandals /

Now let's talk summer heat.  This is definitely the hardest time to dress for…..cause that heat? Gets up over 100 degrees on a regular basis.  While you may need warmer layers the rest of the year, you'll be removing those layers in the summer.  For summer, think SUPER comfortable shorts and a light tee.  Sandals that support (like these saltwater sandals or my favorite Birkenstocks) will last through the full day at the park.  Bring a very light sweatshirt for early mornings, and be sure to pack a hat to keep the sun out of your eyes.

Shop my Favorite Shorts:

There are a few items that I love for Disney Outfits year round……..be sure to invest in a great pair of sneakers……and a couple of pairs of fun ears.  Those are What to Wear to Disneyland requirements!

Frequently Asked Questions about What to Wear to the Disneyland Resort:

Is it a good idea to bring extra clothes? This totally depends on your plans for what your Disneyland trip will look like.  Do you plan to go on water rides?  Then a change of clothes or shoes might be a good idea (you can always store things in the lockers).  Is there rain on the horizon? Then you may want to bring rain gear just in case.  These things aren't as pressing the warmer months.  Even if you get wet, you'll dry pretty quickly!

Are there major temperature drops after dark? Is there often unexpected cold weather? In the winter months, the temperature can vary and it definitely cools off after dark (I've seen it drop to below 40 degrees fahrenheit).  The forecast is normally pretty accurate, and keep in mind that Disneyland is usually open until midnight, so you may be there LATE.  For me? I check what the temperature will be at the LATEST time we plan to be there, and bring layers appropriate for that.  Not to repeat myself but, the lockers are your best friend here.  We store warmer jackets and hats until we need them during late nights or chilly mornings.  I also bring extra layers (like shirts with long sleeves and dry socks for after that Splash Mountain ride) just in case and store them as well!

Does the Disneyland Park have a dress code? There are some pretty simple rules for outfits for Disneyland (and most are just….common sense).  Costumes can not be worn by guests over the age of 13 (with the exception of special events like Oogie Boogie Bash).  Bare feet are not allowed, and there are general reminders that Disneyland is a family friendly environment so clothing should be reasonable for that.  Same goes for visible tattoos (basically, use good judgement knowing kids will be present).

We are planning our first Disneyland vacation, does everyone need Disney family shirts? My answer to this is…..NEED? No.  Does your entire family WANT to wear Disney family shirts? Then do it, it can be really fun (and looks great in photos).  If not? Then don't.  The point is to be comfortable and to have a good time.  Whatever is a good option for all day comfort? WEAR THAT.

Is the climate similar to Walt Disney World? NOT at all.  California weather is totally different than Florida weather.  We have zero humidity.  You'll have a dry heat during the warmer weather months and cool weather with little rain in the cooler seasons.  Be sure to check the weather, and not assume that one is similar to the other (you can see all my favorite options for Walt Disney World outfits HERE).

Are you planning a trip to Disneyland? What is YOUR favorite of all our Disneyland Outfits?

💕Because we all want our kids to soar………⠀⠀So fitting right? Elvis named this plane after his daughter. And all I’ve been thinking about throughout our St Jude experience…..is how certain things truly bond all of us. Certain things cross economic barriers and continent and language differences. Parenthood is one of those. It’s a universal experience. And I think whether we are parents or role models or aunties or friends……we all know what it’s like to dream and hope on behalf of a child in your life.⠀⠀In 2012, when I was newly married and not yet a parent one of my students was diagnosed with cancer. Without revealing details about her or her family, I think it’s important to recognize that economic barriers prevented what should have been an earlier diagnosis. It was one of many times I was reminded during my time with the amazing humans in my classrooms that…..we do NOT all have the same access or experiences in life. That student and her family were one of the miracle stories. In fact, when she came back to class, she complained about missing soccer games at recess and fell right back in with the rest in a way that to this day brings joyful tears to my eyes. ⠀⠀I said this on my stories during my trip, but…..I didn’t realize until this experience that families at St Jude NEVER receive a bill. Ever. No matter what. That this access gives families hope during their darkest days.⠀⠀I’m going to be teaming up with St. Jude to do a fun challenge that will hopefully inspire y’all to support them too. Let’s just say that…..for this scared of heights, refuses to take my feet off the ground theme park girlie……I’m going to making the ultimate sacrifices.⠀⠀What rides would you want to see me go on in support of St Jude? (be kind, I’m literally TERRIFIED of any and all rides that have a height limit). You know they REALLY moved me if I’m even thinking of doing this! ⠀⠀@stjude #stjudeambassador
💕Double tap if you know what the Peabody is fam 💕Double tap if you know what the Peabody is famous for…..so many of you guessed it in stories last night!🦆The Peabody Hotel is famous for their duck parade. And we got to see it as a part of Day 1 of the St Jude Content Creator Summit. I’m in Memphis to learn all about how St Jude is doing life saving research to fight and cure childhood cancers.💕Real talk: I get to do a lot of fun things because of this little app but projects like this? Are an absolute honor. Did you know that patients at St Jude NEVER RECEIVE A BILL? What a gift to families in crisis. I’m so happy to share this next couple of days here in Memphis with y’all and to support such an important organization.🦆Now, swipe to see the ducks. @stjude #stjudeambassador
She IS Ariel. We saw it. It’s a gift. This s She IS Ariel. We saw it. It’s a gift. This stunning movie shows a princess who is absolutely……royal. Graceful. Brave and……the perfect mermaid. Years ago, I was sitting in the theater during the live action Lion King premiere just days after the Little Mermaid casting was announced. And in walked Halle Bailey. This young girl and all I could think was……how much weight of the world was on her shoulders. The room paused. And people everywhere stood. They applauded her and smiled and I thought…..she really is a princess. Halle, you are the epitome of royalty. Thank you for sharing your shine with the world.I would love to encourage you to follow these amazing creators who have been shining themselves and sharing a ton of special Little Mermaid experiences:@jenniferborget @erikaenchanted@davidvaughn@_the_adventurous_rjay@colormemagic@melizzablackLydia’s, Robbie’s and my full review of the film will be on the blog Monday morning. How excited are you for the film? Mother’s Day Memories: Starting to wonder how ma Mother’s Day Memories: Starting to wonder how many more years we have of this family tradition before SOMEONE becomes a full blown teen / tween and the Happiest Place on Earth is a whole different vibeWe: hugged our favorite characters, danced every time mom got a coffee (swipe for that excellent content), Lydia and Robbie rode all the mountains, walked 22,000 steps on Saturday alone, and Robbie finally got to see Toontown for the first time since it’s reopening. We slept like rocks on the comfy beds at the JW Marriott (it was such a kind gesture when they offered to host us for Mother’s day weekend), I drank my morning coffee in their beautiful garden, and loved that it was a quick 15 minute walk to the Disneyland gates. If you are looking for a luxury hotel experience near Disneyland, I highly recommend. They have great dining options, a Starbucks in the lobby each morning, and a lovely pool. This was a perfect treat yourself location.Have you done a holiday at Disneyland? My favorites (in no particular order): Halloween (Oogie Boogie is the best), Holiday Time and Mother’s Day……each has it’s own unique flavor.@MarriottBonvoy #MarriottBonvoy @jwmarriottanaheim #jwmarriottanaheim #MarriottBonvoyMoments Hosted
