Hey y’all…….yes, I’m still here. If you tried to pop by the blog in the last day or two…..it was down. My web host had some technical issues, but all is fixed. And honestly? Instead of being upset, I decided to take the time to unplug a little. This was our last weekend as a family before winter vacation ended…..and it was nice to relax and spend a little less time than usual on the internet.
If you follow my Instagram, then you know we took Lydia to Disneyland for the first time. It was amazing, she was seriously overjoyed. The castle, Dumbo rides, and Minnie’s house were huge hits (stand by, we’ll be sharing pictures around here soon)!
So, let’s talk about how to wear duck boots. I’ve been avoiding them like the plague because, well…..it doesn’t rain that often in LA. But, man…..the last couple weeks we’ve seen more rain than I saw all year. Between rain while visiting our families and a rare storm that hit when we returned……I sure am glad I bought these boots…they’ve come in handy!
My secret for how to wear duck boots and not look my wardrobe has been drenched? Color! Lots of color! Instead of pairing my boots with simple jeans and a tee……I threw on a pair of bright red pants before stomping through puddles on the way to a shopping date last week. You’ve gotta brighten up a dreary rainy day somehow, right?
