Looking for the best gluten-free options at walt disney world? This is the ultimate guide to gluten free disney world (both quick service restaurants and sit down options).
Let’s talk food allergies or intolerances at Disney World. Traveling when you have a gluten intolerance of any type can be challenging ( I know this from personal experience) but……no one is as good with food issues as the Disney parks. I’m a Disneyland local, so I often share gluten free options at Disneyland .
But I’ve travelled to Walt Disney World a number of times this year (for the Disney Princess race weekend and for some fun trips to experience Epcot and the Flower and Garden Festival). After trying a LOT of gluten-free dining at Walt Disney World, I wanted to share my absolute favorites. HIGHLY recommend booking a few of these the next time you’re visiting Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios or the Magic Kingdom. These gluten free disney world options are seriously amazing!
gluten free disney world : a complete guide
Let me tell you, the Walt Disney World resort is a completely different experience than Disneyland. On the West Coast, our parks are next to each other and you can easily walk back and forth for a meal or snack. At Walt Disney World, it’s really important to have dining options at the park you will be spending time at. The property is so much bigger, you won’t be able to park hop as easily!

I thought it would be best to divide this guide up by location. This will help you plan your dining reservations for some of the amazing restaurants in each park if you’re doing sit down meals and to plan mobile orders if you are doing quick service restaurants .
disney’s hollywood studios gluten free options
Now to be honest, historically Hollywood Studios hasn’t been one of my favorite spots for dining. I didn’t LOVE any of the table service restaurants (aside from Brown Derby)…..but on my last Walt Disney World trip? IT ALL CHANGED. We’ve got some great new disney restaurants in the mix at Hollywood Studios and it’s been a game changer.
round up rodeo bbq
This sit-down restaurant recently opened in Toy Story Land and……is one of my favorite places to eat ANYWHERE at Walt Disney World. It’s absolutely fabulous. The food is served family style ( gluten-free food can be separated in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination if needed). My favorite part? The menu is EXTENSIVE and was created with a gluten allergy or celiacs disease in mind. In fact, the majority of the menu items are naturally gluten free (yes, even the desserts).
my favorite items : Wheezy’s Watermelon Salad (a refreshing watermelon and mint salad), Buttercup’s Beef Brisket , The Married Spuds potato barrels, Mean Old Potato Salad (some of the best potato salad I’ve ever had), Bo’s Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake parfait (absolutely DELISH).
docking bay 7
If you are looking for a quick service option in disney’s hollywood studios then Docking Bay 7 needs to be on your gluten free disney world must try list. This quick service spot has great vibes, and super fun Star Wars themed decor. Plus, they have mobile order options. It’s VERY popular, so I’d suggest ordering earlier in the day and just setting your arrival window for when you think you’d like to eat.
my favorite items: Roasted Endorian Chicken Salad , Peka Tuna Poke , Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip
disney’s animal kingdom favorite restaurants
I love Animal Kingdom. From the attractions to the safari to the amazing ambiance, it’s a truly unique experience. And luckily, that unique experience includes some stellar gluten free disney world options.
satuli canteen
This is hands down one of my favorite quick service locations anywhere in Walt Disney World. It’s right in the middle of Pandora and is a pretty cool space that celebrates the in the art and culture of the Na’vi. They have mobile ordering which is always a win and TONS of indoor seating (bonus for the warmer months). They have a LOT of options for gluten-free items and everything is customizable. Most of the foods are bowls that you can customize with a base and protein. They also have some of the best kids’ meals in the parks (including a dough wrapped hot dog that is delish for the non celiac disease or food allergy family members).
my favorite gluten-free items : Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl with rice base , Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl with potato hash base, Metkayina Mousse , Ilu Splash Margarita
tusker house
Now, I’m a character dining super fan (but I know disneyland character dining WAY better than Walt Disney World). So, it took me a minute to figure out my gluten free disney world character dining options. I did the tusker house character breakfast the morning after I ran the run disney princess race and spent the entire meal raving about the how it had one of the best gluten-free menus I’d seen in a long time.
The breakfast is a buffet that has traditional american breakfast items (hello mickey and SIMBA waffles) as well as african inspired dishes. They had an amazing guide to each item that made it really easy to navigate what I could eat.
great gluten free items: Cape Malay Curry Chicken , potatoes, gluten free waffles, jasmine rice
gluten free disney world : magic kingdom dining locations
The Magic Kingdom is absolutely a must visit at Walt Disney World. Who doesn’t love the Castle? The attractions? The princesses? A stroll down Main Street? It also has some of the best gluten free options on disney property …….be sure to save these for future disney world trips!
Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace is a Walt Disney World classic for a reason. This adorable character breakfast is themed around Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. The breakfast buffet has all the classics (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc) and in my experience? They do a STELLAR job with gluten free options (the chef or a cast member will talk you through everything you can eat).
my favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, gluten free mickey waffles
liberty tree tavern
STOP THE PRESSES. I ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time on my most recent Disney World trip (our Frog Hop with Undercover Tourist) and was absolutely blown away. This might just be my top choice for all gluten free disney world options. I had NO IDEA how amazing it was. Think Thankgiving. But…..with the best gluten free options I’ve ever seen.
This colonial themed home is filled with old fashion details and family style dining ( like any disney world restaurant they can separate for cross contamination, our items were served on their own platters and plates).
my favorites: gluten free stuffing (omg I dream of this stuff), Pennsylvania Pot Roast, THE GLUTEN FREE ROLLS (they’re amazing)
pecos bill tall tale inn and cafe
If you are looking for a simple and easy quick service option in the Magic Kingdom, Pecos Bill is a great option. Mobile order is available and there is PLENTY of indoor and outdoor seating. Pecos Bill offers simple mexican food that is EASILY made gluten free. Plus they have some great kids’ menu options!
my favorites: Chicken Rice Bowl, Chicken Nachos
gluten free disney world : epcot
I love Epcot. For so many reasons. But one? There are just so many food and drink options. It’s really fun to stroll from country to country and to eat a little at each place. The part? Almost every location has gluten free options (and they have great cocktails). These? My absolute epcot favorites.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse
I have to admit, I didn’t expect to love Regal Eagle Smokehouse. With all the amazing and diverse food options in Epcot, I figured that American food wouldn’t exactly be my first choice. Listen, gluten free friends….DO NOT SKIP the smokehouse. The bbq options are amazing, they have great gluten free items and it’s a really fun vibe. They have mobile order, and the dining location is pretty popular….so I would definitely suggest ordering earlier in the day and setting an arrival time that works for you.
my favorites: Kansas City Smoked Half Chicken, BBQ Burger, North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter
Teppan Edo
We visited Teppan Edo the evening after I ran the Princess 10k, and I was worried. Japanese food can be difficult in terms of gluten issues because of sauces (soy sauce primarily). But I was so happy, Teppan Edo is a hibachi style restaurant that is super fun for the entire and bonus? They’re AMAZING with gluten intolerances. Pro tip, reservations for Teppan Edo can be hard to get so if you see one….GRAB IT!
While all food is cooked on the same hibachi (unless you request otherwise)….I was VERY impressed that the chef kept my food completely separate. I was able to participate in every part of the meal and had SO MUCH FOOD. It was delicious.
My favorites: edamame, Tori (chicken cooked on the hibachi)
And there you have it. From Magic Kingdom to Epcot to Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios……all of the best options for doing a gluten free disney world trip. I can’t wait to hear which location is your favorite!
