Gearing up for summer at the parks? These Disneyland Secrets will help in the hot months......13 places to beat the heat inside of Disneyland and California Adventure!

Ok, let's discuss summer at Disneyland.  We all know it's coming, and we all dread the high temperature days, right?  From Disneyland rides to Disneyland outfits………I love sharing our  favorite Disneyland secrets with y'all…..and these? Maybe the most useful Disneyland Secrets for the summer months: 13 places to beat the heat during Disney days.  From shady spots to cooler rides to indoor options with air conditioning……..we're spilling the beans on our favorite places in the park to spend the middle of the day during July and August.

Disneyland Secrets: Want to know where to beat the heat? These 13 places inside Disneyland and California Adventure will be your favorite during the summer months!

Disneyland Secrets: 13 Places to Beat the Heat

A few general tips for warmer days…………stay hydrated, reapply sunscreen, and try to break up the day as much as possible.  We try to either do rides earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon on high heat days, and spend the middle of the day doing some of these activities.  Wear cotton, breathable clothing, and comfortable shoes.  Hats are key.  And if you really want to cool off? There's nothing like a Dole Whip.

I divided up our favorite Disneyland Secrets Beat the Heat spots by park…….that way you'll have a couple good spots to cool off, wherever you are!

Splash Mountain: There's no better way to cool off than a giant splash of cool water.  If you're the roller coaster type, this should be your go to (us scaredy cats will watch from the bottom and get splashed that way)!

Star Wars Launch Bay: This walk through exhibit in Tomorrowland is relaxing, fun to see, and AIR CONDITIONED!

Pirates of the Caribbean: This longer ride is cool, inside, and perfect for all ages, plus it's a total Disneyland Rides classic!

It's a Small World: My personal favorite…..there's nothing like It's a Small World.  Even babies love it, and you'll feel relaxed and cool by the time your boat emerges.

Hall of Presidents: Comfy seating.  Air conditioning.  Quiet.

Haunted Mansion: Tip? Use your fastpass access to book the Haunted Mansion mid-day.  You can wander through New Orleans Square to the ride, escape the heat and then pop over to the Golden Horseshoe close by for some food and some air conditioning!

Golden Horseshoe: This air conditioned eatery in Frontierland has ice cream and two levels of indoor seating.

Enchanted Tiki Room: Grab a Dole Whip, head inside, enjoy the bird show, and relax!

Turtle Talk with Crush + Animation Academy + The Beast's Library: One of my favorite spots inside California Adventure……you could easily spend hours inside this building!  Turtle Talk with Crush, Animation Academy where you can learn to sketch your favorite characters, The Beast's Hidden Library, and the Anna and Elsa meet and greet location are ALL inside……along with some great seating and cartoons playing.  We've literally spent 12-3 pm inside and missed the ENTIRE hottest part of the day!

Flo's V8 Cafe: Milkshakes, AC, and great music.  Flo's V8 Cafe is one of our favorite long lunch spots, music is always playing, the food is delish, and the booths have soft, comfy seats.

Frozen Show at Hyperion Theatre: That eternal winter that Elsa sets off? Will be totally welcome during the hot summer months.  Be sure to check the Disneyland app for show times!

Disney Junior Dance Party:  Music, dancing, confetti falling from the ceiling, and happy kids.

Little Mermaid Ride: The Little Mermaid ride is always cool, relaxing, and a fun way to see your favorite characters!

🚨 3 MISTAKES I MADE AT MY FIRST RUN DISNEY RACE 🚨 3 MISTAKES I MADE AT MY FIRST RUN DISNEY RACE 🚨⠀⠀🛑 Learn from my mistakes, 3 things you should NOT do if you’re running Disney races this year (trust me):⠀⠀1️⃣ Passing Go and Heading STRAIGHT to the parks: I realllllyyyyy wanted medal pictures. In my running outfit. So, instead of taking the buses straight from the finish line back to the hotel……we went to the Magic Kingdom. Took photos. Went to lunch. And felt…..terrible by about 1 pm. So take it from me, finish the race. Go to the hotel. Shower. Take a nap. THEN go to the parks. ⠀2️⃣ Breakfast: ok, mistake number 2. WHAT WE ATE. We booked a very cute, very on theme lunch. It was also very rich and creamy food. And…..was NOT IT after a race. Some of us may have gotten sick. It might have been the food. Or the lack of sleep. But, breakfast food (waffles / eggs) would have been a MUCH better choice. Now bonus points if you can guess where we ate. Love it, but….not for the first meal after the race.⠀3️⃣ Park Tickets: I spent WAY too much. I didn’t buy my park tickets in advance and paid full price. On a race weekend, you’ll probably want tickets for race day and the day after if not two days after. So….buy them NOW. While you can get a deal. ⠀⠀🎟️ Which leads to……when I say buy those park tickets now, I mean it. Big News! Undercover Tourist is offering their best ticket deal at BOTH Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort…for a VERY limited time, get Adult Theme Park Tickets at Child Prices. So whichever race you are running (or races in my case)……snag tickets NOW. I’m grabbing mine for Wine and Dine and Princess weekend……..⠀🎟️ want a link to the deal? Comment TICKETS PLEASE and I’ll send it your way! ⠀👟 Are you running a Disney Race this year? Which one? ⠀⠀🥇 And if you’re an experienced Run Disney person….what tips do YOU have for first timers?⠀⠀@themeparkfrog @disneyland #FrogHopDLR #rundisney

Two good witches and one black cat…….kick off Two good witches and one black cat…….kick off another year of family halloween costumes. The thing is, I tried to talk Lydia out of these costumes. It was a cooler day on Saturday and I kept telling her we could just wear jeans and the hats. Until, I realized…….we may not have that many Halloween seasons left of cute family costumes. So pink witches we were…..for the kickoff of Legoland’s Brick or Treat. We love Brick or Treat (this is our 3rd year doing it). It’s got some new activities this year, and I L-O-V-E that it’s included in your regular @legolandcalifornia ticket (bonus it ALSO will be included in Kids Free October here in SD).Our favs this year:- the wacky witch trail near the water park entrance- the zombie cheerleaders- halloween themed apple fries- the monster security checkpoint- Jam Out with the Rockers (this meet and greet is HYSTERICAL, scroll for the footage)Brick or Treat takes place on Saturdays in September and then Saturdays and SOME Sundays in October (dates are on the Legoland website).Welp, this makes it official. Summer has come to an end. Bring on the Halloween fun!#sponsored #LEGOLANDcalifornia
