Looking for the best tacos in Los Angeles? I’m sharing my FAVORITES!

Welcome to the City of Angels. If you’re a taco fan, then you could literally eat tacos at a different spot everyday for a year. In my mind? Tacos are their own food group, and I wanted to share MY guide to the Best Tacos in Los Angeles. I’m sharing six of my personal favorite spots to grab tacos…….and can’t WAIT to hear if you’ve tried any of them yourself!
Funny story, when I was pregnant with Lydia…..I craved two foods. Tacos and Dolmas. So random, right? Well, along with cravings……I developed heartburn for the first time in my life in my third trimester, and have struggled with it ever since. It comes and goes, but man……that heartburn can ruin a good taco. Each week, I do Taco Tuesday with a few of my teacher friends, and lately….it got so bad, that I thought I’d have to start skipping out. As a last resort, I decided to try a new type of heartburn medication before ditching Taco Tuesday all together.
I have to say, I’m happy to report…..it’s been VERY effective. If you suffer with heartburn, I highly recommend the new Equate Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet (I picked mine up at Walmart – check it out HERE). I love that it’s dissolvable and has a great strawberry taste! Omeprazole ODT is designed to treat the symptoms of frequent heartburn (meaning 2 or more days a week). You’ll be taking one tablet each 24 hours for 14 days……..and can start to feel a difference between 1-4 days in. For me? About 2 days in, I felt SIGNIFICANTLY better…..and just in time for Taco Tuesday!
Now that we’ve got a plan for heartburn……let’s talk my favorite taco spots.
The Best Tacos in Los Angeles
Mexicali (Studio City): This is actually where Robbie and I went on our first date. It’s a casual, sit down joint with killer margaritas and their braised beef tacos are to DIE for.
Blue Plate Taco (Santa Monica): Warning, VERY popular. The baja fish tacos are delish, and you can’t beat the views of the ocean!
El Cholo (Santa Monica): El Cholo is an LA landmark, they’ve been around since the 1920’s. This is a great larger location to grab tacos, perfect for group dinners.
Marisol (Santa Monica Pier): Marisol is located at the very end of the Santa Monica Pier, the views are killer and so are the fish tacos.
Home State (Los Feliz): Looking for Queso? Breakfast tacos? Home State will be your new favorite spot.
Pinches Tacos (Culver City / Hollywood / Westwood / Santa Monica): The Culver City Pinches Tacos was my favorite spot until we moved to another part of the city. It’s small, quaint, inexpensive and delish. We even used their catering for multiple events!
Tres Hermanos (North Hills): If you’re in the San Fernando Valley, this is the BEST. They make authentic, amazing food and they deliver (via Postmates)!
Are you an LA native? What do you think are the best tacos in Los Angeles?
