The Best Tacos in Los Angeles

Looking for the best tacos in Los Angeles? I'm sharing my FAVORITES!

Looking for the best tacos in Los Angeles? I'm sharing my FAVORITES!

Welcome to the City of Angels.  If you're a taco fan, then you could literally eat tacos at a different spot everyday for a year.  In my mind? Tacos are their own food group, and I wanted to share MY guide to the Best Tacos in Los Angeles.  I'm sharing six of my personal favorite spots to grab tacos…….and can't WAIT to hear if you've tried any of them yourself!

Looking for the best tacos in Los Angeles? I'm sharing my FAVORITES!Funny story, when I was pregnant with Lydia…..I craved two foods.  Tacos and Dolmas.  So random, right?  Well, along with cravings……I developed heartburn for the first time in my life in my third trimester, and have struggled with it ever since.  It comes and goes, but man……that heartburn can ruin a good taco.  Each week, I do Taco Tuesday with a few of my teacher friends, and lately….it got so bad, that I thought I'd have to start skipping out.  As a last resort, I decided to try a new type of heartburn medication before ditching Taco Tuesday all together.

Looking for the best tacos in Los Angeles? I'm sharing my FAVORITES!I have to say, I'm happy to report…..it's been VERY effective.  If you suffer with heartburn, I highly recommend the new Equate Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet (I picked mine up at Walmart – check it out HERE).  I love that it's dissolvable and has a great strawberry taste!  Omeprazole ODT is designed to treat the symptoms of frequent heartburn (meaning 2 or more days a week).  You'll be taking one tablet each 24 hours for 14 days……..and can start to feel a difference between 1-4 days in.  For me? About 2 days in, I felt SIGNIFICANTLY better…..and just in time for Taco Tuesday!

Now that we've got a plan for heartburn……let's talk my favorite taco spots.

The Best Tacos in Los Angeles

Mexicali (Studio City): This is actually where Robbie and I went on our first date.  It's a casual, sit down joint with killer margaritas and their braised beef tacos are to DIE for.

Blue Plate Taco (Santa Monica):  Warning, VERY popular.  The baja fish tacos are delish, and you can't beat the views of the ocean!

El Cholo (Santa Monica): El Cholo is an LA landmark, they've been around since the 1920's.  This is a great larger location to grab tacos, perfect for group dinners.

Marisol (Santa Monica Pier): Marisol is located at the very end of the Santa Monica Pier, the views are killer and so are the fish tacos.

Home State (Los Feliz): Looking for Queso? Breakfast tacos? Home State will be your new favorite spot.

Pinches Tacos (Culver City / Hollywood / Westwood / Santa Monica): The Culver City Pinches Tacos was my favorite spot until we moved to another part of the city.  It's small, quaint, inexpensive and delish.  We even used their catering for multiple events!

Tres Hermanos (North Hills): If you're in the San Fernando Valley, this is the BEST.  They make authentic, amazing food and they deliver (via Postmates)!

Are you an LA native? What do you think are the best tacos in Los Angeles?

🎉HAPPY REOPENING DAY TOONTOWN!!!!!🎉⠀ ⠀ W 🎉HAPPY REOPENING DAY TOONTOWN!!!!!🎉⠀⠀We loved visiting yesterday for a preview of this reimagined area. It’s absolutely perfect for getting your wiggles out, having a picnic and yup……..getting your Disney feels fix.⠀⠀My top recommendations when visiting this new area?⠀⠀1) mobile order from Cafe Daisy…..we loved the pizza options and the cold brew⠀2) play play play in Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard, and inside his house…..⠀3) take the time to walk through Minnie and Mickey’s houses, you’ll probably see a surprise friend or two!⠀4) absolutely yes to the picnic basket from Good Boy! Grocer. It’s a STELLAR price and a really fun experience to pick out your own snacks.⠀5) Mickey’s and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a perfect full family ride. I’d suggest trying for this earlier in the day if you can.⠀6) Keep an eye out for Pete, it’s so much fun to see him wandering the area.⠀⠀#Disneyland #Toontown #Mickey #Minnie #MMRR @disneyland @disneyparks invited guest
✨There’s something in my eye…….oh it’s j ✨There’s something in my eye…….oh it’s just pixie dust.⠀⠀When I think of Lydia’s earliest visits to Disneyland….I think of Toontown. I think of Minnie’s House and meeting Mickey and playing next to Goofy’s House. I think of the adorable landscape and the magic that the area creates for the youngest and the young at heart.⠀⠀✨Today we visited Toontown for a sneak peek before it’s reopening tomorrow…..and yup, that pixie dust definitely got in my eye. More than once.⠀⠀Toontown is even more magical than it was (partially thanks to the addition of a cold brew on the menu at Cafe Daisy (good call Disney food and beverage team). ⠀⠀✨My favorite moments from today’s sneak preview?⠀1️⃣ we saw Pete. He’s even better than I’d hoped.2️⃣ I love love love the food options in Toontown! Highlights: the picnic basket snack option Good Boy! Grocers, the cold brew and a delicious gluten free fold over pizza (regular looked great too)3️⃣ the new play areas are amazing! Goofy’s How to Play Area is phenomenal and filled with a ton of new interactions. ⠀Happy reopening Toontown. Can’t wait to see you again real soon. ⠀⠀Have you visited Toontown? Are you planning to come see all updates?⠀⠀#Disneyland #Toontown #Mickey #Minnie #MMRR @disneyland @disneyparks invited guest

✈️ Out of curiosity…..are you a pay for the ✈️ Out of curiosity…..are you a pay for the wifi on the plane person? Or the no way I’m paying for that person?⠀For the record, there is one of each of us in this house (feel free to guess who I am, ha).⠀❤️Over on stories, we are talking money and what people pay for different things. There are people cheering you on…..and you don’t even realize it.I learned a LOT during the 7 months of training for this race. I learned that I should stretch and warm up (thanks pulled muscle for that life lesson), I learned that small progress over time leads to achieving big goals. I learned that sunshine and being outside makes me a happier person. I learned that I’m more of an athlete than I thought I was. But most of all? I learned……there are a whole lot of people in your cheering section and you might not even know they’re sitting there. After I pulled this muscle, I was amazed by the sweet and kind messages while I tried to prepare to run my first 10k with an injury. But NOTHING prepared me for the ovwhelming amount of kindness and support that flooded into my inbox when I crossed the finish line. From the early morning you can do this messages to the ones that came in throughout the race to the inspiring amount of support as I iced my pulled muscle…..it brought me to tears. And the amazing thing? When Jennifer and Lashawn and I found each other at the finish line….they said the same thing. It’s not just me. We all have a cheering section. And wow, do they show up when you may not be expecting them.Got a big goal? Working on something new? Share it in the comments. I’d love to join your support team.#medalmonday #rundisney
