Avengers Campus Disneyland: It's HERE! This is the Ultimate Guide to Disney California Adventure park's latest land……..and a must read before you head to the Parks!
EKKKK here we go, after a LONG wait Avengers Campus is open…..and we got to attend the press preview. Yup, I've seen it and it's…..spectacular. As you prepare to assemble…..I wanted to provide as much information as possible. From Disneyland Outfits: What to Wear to Avengers Campus to our full guide to must try food…….we covered it all during our sneak peek three hours inside of Avengers Campus.
A few clarifications about the new Campus. Avengers Campus is inside of Disney California Adventure. You do NOT need a special reservation or pass to enter the area. You DO need a spot in the virtual que to do the Web Slingers ride INSIDE the area.
Avengers Campus: The Ultimate Guide
Avengers Campus: To Do Before You Visit
Before my visit to the Avengers Campus, I decided I needed to do some research and preparation. So, I watched ALL of the Marvel movies. In story order. My biggest recommendation is to do the same. It made visiting so much more fun. I noticed a ton of details that I may have otherwise missed.
If you're going to watch a FEW movies first? Spiderman is a MUST.
Avengers Campus: Rides
There are two main attractions inside of Avengers Campus. And IF you're not afraid of heights, I recommend making time for both.
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure: Now, y'all know I'm terrified of heights and drops. So I'm excited to share that Web Slingers is an amazing, immersive ride that doesn't have either. In fact, it as no height limits (which makes it perfect to add to my list of Disneyland rides for younger kids). During the ride, Peter Parkers helpers (Spider-Bots) multiply and escape. The goal? You hop in a special vehicle and weave a web to contain them!
A few things to know about Web Slingers:
WEB Tech accessories are available for purchase (these are pieces you wear during the ride to enhance and customize your experience)
There is a virtual que for the attraction. It is available on the Disneyland app, and opens at 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM each day (just like Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy's Edge). You can join the que once a day.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!: Now, I'm not going to lie…..this ride is a giant NO for me. Y'all know I'm terrified of heights and Guardians of the Galaxy? It's got heights and a massive drop. However, for you daredevils? This iconic ride is now a part of the all new Avengers Campus. I'll cheer you on from the safety of the ground, ha!
Must Try Foods
* = mobile ordering available
Let's talk Disneyland food. Disney always does an amazing job creating unique and fun food, and the Avengers Campus food offerings are no exception. Be sure that you leave some time to try a few of the best options!
*Pym Test Kitchen: This was at the top of my must visit spots inside of Avengers Campus. And it's as fun as I imagined! The premise? The chefs inside of Pym Test Kitchen use the shrink-and-grow technology of Pym Particles, Ant-Man and The Wasp to……create fun sized food (and the decor is pretty awesome too). Pym Test Kitchen is a quick service location, and they have mobile ordering.
My Favorite Items:
Atomic Fusion Pretzel
*Pym Tasting Lab: Want to grab a cocktail? Then Pym Tasting Lab is your spot. This drink stand offers mobile ordering and has some really fun and unique drink options!
My Favorite Item:
*Shawarma Palace: Epic Avengers Fans know that the Shawarma Palace was a MUST for the Avengers Campus……and if you're looking for a quick on the go snack? This is perfection! They offer mobile ordering.
My Must Try Item:
Impossible™ Breakfast Sha-warm-up
Terran Treats: Want to grab a treat on the way out of the Avengers Campus? Highly recommend a stop by Terran Treats. The stand offers two options: Sweet Spiral Ration (similar to a churro) and a Cosmic Cream Orb (similar to a cream puff). I grabbed one of each to bring back to my hotel and am so glad I did!
Avengers Campus: Merchandise
I love some great Disneyland merchandise, and Avengers Campus has some killer Marvel themed items.
There are three main shopping spots within the Campus: WEB Suppliers, Campus Supply Pod, The Collectors Warehouse. Each has unique offerings, so be sure to pop into all three for the best shopping options!
Spider-Bots (and backpack): I'm calling it right now, Spider-Bots will be the must have unique Avengers Campus merchandise item. These cool robots are user controlled and can be customized to match your favorite Marvel characters.
Exclusive Funko Pops: There are a number of Funko Pops available in the campus area, keep your eyes open for Spider-man and Iron Man!
Avengers Campus Logo Gear: I'm all about the Disneyland exclusive gear and Avengers Campus has some REALLY fun tee shirts and pins. These are super to easy carry home, and a great unique gift idea!
Don't Miss Activities and Spots Inside Avengers Campus
There are a couple of fun photo spots and don't miss interaction areas of Avengers Campus that you definitely need to be sure to check out!
Avengers Headquarters: This cool blue and grey building has the Avengers logo front and center, and it's a great spot to look for some familiar faces!
Ancient Sanctum: This area is a VIBE. Be sure to stop by overgrown ruins of an Ancient Sanctum. This is a must do for younger kids, the interaction with Doctor Strange is AWESOME and the area has a ton of cool artifacts to check out!
Worldwide Engineering Brigade: Don't miss the fun graffiti murals on the side of the Stark Motors factory. They're colorful and perfect for a great photo op!
Are you heading to Avengers Campus? Where will you stop first during your visit?
