On the hunt for the best comfy clothes? These are the best pieces from Aerie…..on two totally different body types.
Let’s be honest……comfy clothes are the best. If you’re anything like me, the minute you get home for the day…….you’re out of jeans and into sweat pants and tee shirts. Aerie is one of my go to brands for comfy clothes that have some style. They make great pieces for travel days, and nights in. Now that I work from home…..I’m not gonna lie, these items have become almost everyday wear.
Kendall is one of my closest friends, and we found out a couple months ago that we would be speaking on the same panel at a conference here in Southern California (Blogher Health in Los Angeles). We decided to make a whole weekend of it. We shared a hotel room, had some amazing takeout, explored the city, and planned out a fun project featuring our favorite…..loungewear and comfortable pieces from Aerie.
Both of us are huge fans of the brand. From the Aerie Bathing Suits to the best black leggings ….Aerie makes great basic pieces for great prices. And the coolest part? Aerie’s commitment to representation of real beauty, their decision as a company to not airbrush their models, their use of a variety of body types from petite to plus size and skin tones in every ad campaign? Yup, I love it.
Kendall and I thought it would be fun to show you guys some of our favorite comfy clothes from Aerie (and bonus we are sharing a bathing suit too) on each of our body types.

Let’s start with the most obvious comfy clothes…..sweats. These joggers? Not gonna lie, they were the last item we took pictures in on purpose. After this shoot, Kendall headed to the airport to fly home to Michigan and I drove 130 miles home to San Diego. Let me tell you, they get the travel seal of approval. We both raved about how comfortable they were for a day in the car or on a plane. And the tee shirt? The perfect loose, comfy top.
Ok I get it. These leopard workout pants aren’t subtle. But aren’t they cute? I think they’re so fun! And when it comes down to the debate, yes I believe that leopard is a neutral. I’ve actually worn them a couple times to drop off and pick up at Lydia’s school with a simple sweatshirt and sneakers. They stretch perfectly and hold up nicely for an actual run or workout.
Now let’s talk bathing suits. Aerie makes some great ones. And this particular two piece? I love the high waisted bottom. Plus doesn’t the pineapple print just scream tropical vacation?!? Aerie makes great mix and match two pieces, so it’s always easy to find a suit that fits your style.
