Is the 100th day of school approaching? This 100th day of school outfit is easy to put together and the perfect costume to wear to school!
It’s here. The 100th day of school for Lydia. After years of teaching and watching the kindergartners dres up, our turn is here. We’ve gotten through school anxiety (thanks to the positive affirmations for kids we do and a GREAT kindergarten teacher). I’ve packed more school lunches than I can count. We field tripped. The first Winter Break came and went. And now? We get to celebrate the first 100 days of kindergarten. At Lydia’s school, they make a BIG deal out of the 100th day in kindergarten…..so I wanted to go ALL OUT and make sure that she had a blast (I mean, you’re only young once and this is the kind of stuff I remember loving when I made costume with my mom).
Lydia and I had a ton of fun planning her 100th day of school outfit. Like most kindergartens, the kids will be dressing as if they are…..one hundred years old. It was pretty funny to hear her specify what she thought a one hundred year old woman would wear (glasses were a necessity). My goal? To purchase things she could actually wear after the 100th day.

So what did Lydia wear? A nightgown as a dress, a cardigan (it’s still cold for San Diego this time of year), a pearl bracelet, the cutest glasses (I almost wish she wore them everyday), and curlers in her hair (she even kept them in all day). She said the outfit was comfortable (in fact, she asked if she could wear a nightgown to school again tomorrow) and it looked so cute! And it was absolutely adorable to see the kids all dressed in their 100th day of school outfits….there were some super creative makeup looks! From cool 100th day activities to seeing the outfits, it may just have been Lydia’s favorite day at school so far!
