Looking for the best soft gingerbread cookies recipe? This recipe is easy to make and DELISH!

It's time.  Time to read Christmas books, binge watch Christmas movies and to…….eat your fill of Christmas cookies.  Every year I talk about making this soft gingerbread cookies recipe over on Instagram Stories and every year you guys ask for the recipe.  So, this year? I DID IT.  It was (ha) a sacrifice, but I made an early batch, took photos, and I'm excited to share with you in time for you to try this amazing gingerbread cookie recipe yourself.

Making the recipe this year brought back a flood of the very best Christmas memories.  My mom made these same cookies EVERY year over the holidays, and my sister and I constantly snuck into the fridge as the cookie dough chilled to eat……just a bit of the cookie dough.

If you're looking for fun to make cookies, filling your house with the smell of Christmas and a great homemade Christmas gift idea……then these are PERFECT!

I hope that you love the recipe as much as I do!

I used to look at my shadow while I was running an I used to look at my shadow while I was running and think about how wide it was….but now all I can think is….YOU DID THAT.Running Diaries: 11 miles…..for the first time EVER. If I can do 11 miles, I can do the half marathon in January. This was the first “challenge training” I did. I ran 3 miles the day before this and then 11 this day. Race Weekend I’ll be doing a 10k on the Saturday and a half marathon on the Sunday. That’s right, this almost 45 year old “not athletic” girlie is going to do it. And I feel good about it. It amazes me how much of this is mental at this point. I’ve done the training. It’s KNOWING I can do it. And listening to my body when I need to slow down, snack, drink water.Wow. 11 miles. I’m proud of this one. signed, your curvy running buddy

🎂…..and just like that, she’s reached the d 🎂…..and just like that, she’s reached the double digits! Happy 10th birthday to our adventure buddy, it feels like we just met her yesterday. Lydia brings joy to everyone in her life and I feel so lucky to be her mom! She had the sweetest birthday celebration with a few friends over the weekend. They watched movies, and this adorable set up from @fireflysocal was a total hit. I can’t recommend this local business enough, the vibes were impeccable (plus who doesn’t love letting someone else do the set up?!?)
I almost said no to Disneyland today. Between work I almost said no to Disneyland today. Between work commitments, Lydia’s birthday, general holiday busy-ness….it felt like one too many things. Hugged friends. Ate treats. Watched the most magical Disneyland tradition. And reminded myself it’s ok to enjoy the holidays for myself a bit too. Here’s to making memories for the memory makers all season long. Thank you @allisonmertzman for taking me on the best friend date to Disneyland’s Candlelight Processional!
…..a reminder that you are not: - too much - too …..a reminder that you are not:- too much- too loud- too enthusiastic For all the little girls who felt they needed to dull themselves. To lessen their excitement. To be a smaller version of themselves. You deserve to be the whole version of you. (and to do it dressing a way that brings you joy)
