Well, we’re officially done with the holidays (which means I need to take down my Christmas decor, right?!?).  Lydia asked this morning what holiday was next…….which means we’re officially into Valentine’s Day planning.  Now, someone tell me I’m not the only one with VERY casual Valentine’s Day plans.

Last year Valentine’s Day involved take out and a family movie, but we DID light candles on the dinner table.  However, Lydia keeps asking my husband if he’s bringing each of us flowers for the day of love…..so it might be time to slightly upgrade our plans.  I’m thinking a casual dinner out, or maybe a family ice cream date.

How To Dress for A Pear Shape: Red Cardigan

Let’s talk pear shape fashion.  By definition, a pear shaped body means that you are bottom heavy.  Right? So the goal in flattering a pear shaped body? Is to balance your shape and lift the eyes upward.  I’m constantly looking for items with interesting necklines or trying patterns and bright colors on TOP.  This red cardigan is a PERFECT example of a great piece for us pear shaped girls.  The color is stunning, classic and will go with pretty much any neutral item.  And the adorable bell sleeves? ANOTHER great way to draw the eyes upward.  

Plus, I feel like it’s a versatile piece I’ll be wearing for years.  It’s just as cute over a little black dress or pencil skirt for work as it is with skinny jeans and heels for a casual date night ( even one with my mini me in tow).
