‘Tis the season. Thanksgiving is officially over, and we’ve all got a million holiday party plans on our calendars. If you’re like me, finding the ultimate holiday dress is a goal every year. I’m always on the hunt for a versatile dress I can dress up or down, and one that I can wear for a ton of special occasions, just switching out accessories.
This year? I started looking early (for once) and when I asked a number of friend for their best suggestions on holiday dresses…..the same dress came up over and over again. In fact, it was really interesting to me, because whatever body type this dress almost always came up. And I can see why? As I shopped and shopped, I couldn’t find better than this simple long sleeve holiday dress. It’s a killer price, flattering, comes in a ton of colors and can be dressed up and down easily. Does it get ANY better?!?

Hang on to your party hat, because I’m about to sell you on this dress. Seriously, I can’t believe I waited this long to try it out. It’s literally the long sleeve holiday dress everyone needs to own. This $49 dress is comfortable and mega flattering. Not gonna lie, I was apprehensive. My pear shaped body doesn’t always look it’s best in a body con dress. This one? Thick enough fabric to not show lumps, and the ruching is SUPER flattering. Bonus? It comes in a ton of colors and it’s under fifty dollars.
I debated sizing on this one. I wear a size 10-12 normally, and couldn’t decide between a medium and large. The large turned out to be perfect, I could have squeezed into the medium, but the large was comfortable enough to wear for an entire holiday party without complaining.
There are a ton of ways you could style this simple long sleeve holiday dress. I loved throwing a fun shrug over it (the one I’m wearing from Cabi Clothing is out of stock, but I love this option) and pairing it with block heels. You could also do classic heels and pearl earrings, or even boots and a shawl for a more casual party or a day of holiday shopping.
My favorite part? I brought this dress along when we traveled for Thanksgiving and it barely wrinkled. It’s perfect for bringing on trips. And it can easily be worn after the holidays. Switch out those heels for wedges and a cardigan and it can be worn in warmer weather.
