Are you on the fence about faux leather leggings? I was too. But, here you go…..enough faux leather leggings outfit ideas to convince you they’re a must own!
So here’s the deal. I was NOT into this whole leather leggings trend. In fact, I didn’t grab a pair for QUITE some time. Was I really going to wear them that often? Were they worth the money? Well here we and I was wrong. Totally wrong. I ordered a pair to try out, halfway expecting to return them. And I fell in LOVE. These leggings fit like a dream, and are SUPER versatile.
Before we start, let’s talk sizing. I found the pants to be true to size (I’m wearing a large). They’re compression leggings, so they’re definitely snug and they’re a thicker material. If you’d prefer a little more give, size up one size.
So here we go. A few of my favorite leather leggings outfit ideas…….practical ways to style these simple wardrobe staples.
Leather Leggings Outfit Ideas
There are a million and one ways to style faux leather leggings, but these? My favorites for a variety of different events and days. Truth be told, my days are more casual than fancy (mom life). So my goal was mostly casual fall outfits or outfit ideas that I could wear to an event or meeting but also to run errands.
A few things to note: I used two pairs of shoes for all four outfits. My goal was to create a bunch of looks with a few core pieces. So one pair of leggings, a pair of boots and a pair of sneakers. Different tops and accessories. My point? You don’t need a million pairs of shoes either…..these outfits will work with what you have in your closet.
All outfit pieces:
- Sporty and Casual: This is probably my favorite of the faux leather leggings outfit ideas. It’s comfy, casual, easy to wear and perfect for day to day errands or casual activities and it’s my favorite for fall outfits. A soft striped tee (this one is a must own), my favorite sneakers and a baseball hat. In cooler weather? Add a hooded sweatshirt or a puffer vest. You can also swap out the lighter tee for a heaver sweatshirt or bomber jacket.

- Rocker Chic: You guys know I’ve been obsessed with band tees and rocker looks for a bit. This? Takes the faux leather leggings outfit ideas to the next level. Mix your favorite band tee with sneakers and some chunky necklaces (use CARLY20 for 20% off on these) and you’re good to go (add rock star hands for fun). Cooler weather? You can easily add a denim jacket, or even a flannel button down (tied around your waist if not needed) and a beanie.

- Dinner Date: This? The dressiest outfit I put together. Now, if I’m being honest…..heels happen RARELY these days. So this is a more casual shoe option. I paired a bright jewel colored blouse (shout out to Gibson Look for this stunning piece….you can use code CARLY25 to get it for 25% off)…..a fun hair clip and my favorite neutral boots. Trying to recreate this look during the cooler months? You could easily add a cute blazer as a jacket!

- Neutral Days: Want a throw on and go anywhere type of outfit? This neutral look is IT. I paired a simple black tunic with my leggings and added my neutral tall boots. Could you add a fun necklace or earrings? Absolutely! This would also be great during the winter months with a fun colored jacket and scarf. I love the chic ease of this outfit. It’s always going to be in style and looks STUNNING on everyone.
