Looking for info on what to pack in your Disney Suitcase? These are the most important items you'll need for both the hotel and the park!!!

This post is written in partnership with Walmart.

Want to know what to pack in your Disney suitcase? This is the ultimate guide!

Let's talk Disney trips.  Specifically what to pack for them.  Now, when it comes to Disney, we are pretty much experts.  From short local trips to Disneyland to longer trips to Disneyworld and even Disney cruises or a trip to Disney Aulani, we've done them ALL.

After all these trips, I've got packing a Disney suitcase down to a science.  Regardless of which Disney property you're visiting, there are certain items I can GUARANTEE you'll be happy you packed.  All of these items are available at Walmart…..they've got a great selection within their Walmart Home department of travel essentials!

Disney Suitcase: a full packing guide

Disney Suitcase: What's In Mine

Let's start with the suitcases and luggage options.  As we've slowly upgraded our luggage in the last few years, we got some ADORABLE Disney suitcase options.  And let me tell you, if you want your kids to pull their own luggage around…..nothing motivates them like a cute Disney suitcase.  I have a couple smaller rolling suitcases for overnight trips to Anaheim, and then a couple larger options for those longer trips.  And each of these cases? Is available at Walmart.  I love that I can get these shipped quickly and easily (and since I have Walmart+, the shipping is free!)

What's in My Disney Luggage: For the Hotel

Now that travel is starting again, and we'll all be doing more trips to the the Happiest Place on Earth, hotel stays and flights are coming back.  And these? Whether I'm staying on Disney property or close by, are some of the important items I always pack in my Disney suitcase for using in the hotel room.

Suitcase: As silly as this sounds, the suitcase itself is KEY.  I've found that rolling suitcases are easiest to store in hotel rooms.  In some Disney on property rooms, the beds are tall enough to store a suitcase underneath.  Otherwise, we usually store ours in a back corner or closet if there is space.  I highly recommend a carryon size rolling suitcase if you can make it work!

My Favorite Disney Suitcases:

UV Sanitizing Bag: Now, germs are a thing.  And to be honest, one that I probably should have thought more about all along.  This sanitizing bag? Is a new to me purchase for our last few trips.  At the end of the day? I put my phone and other items that have been touched a ton inside, and they're sanitized within a few minutes (you can also use it for keys!).  Highly recommend for the end of each day!

Shop Sanitizing Items:

Packing Cubes: Whenever I talk about packing, these are what Y'ALL recommend the most and I totally agree.  Packing cubes will change your life (or close to it).  For Disney trips? I sort our outfits by day and put each in it's own smaller cube, it makes for VERY easy unpacking and organizing!

What's in My Disney Luggage: For the Park

Now, let's talk about what to throw in your Disney suitcase for bringing INTO the parks.  Preparation is key for a great Disneyland or Disney World experience.  And these items? Are must brings.

Backpack: A large backpack is very important.  You can bring extra socks, layers for cooler nights, snacks, a first aid kit, a camera (I always bring my DSLR full body camera), hats, extra masks and more.  My biggest suggestion? Pack all that, and then get a locker at the beginning of the day.  If you buy items, or your backpack gets heavy, you can store things in the locker for easy access.  I usually finish with my heavy camera, and then store it.  In the middle of the day when it's hot? I leave sweatshirts in the locker too, then grab them in the evening.

Shop Backpacks:

Fanny Pack: Are we calling them belt bags now? Either way, it's a good thing they're back because belt bags are theme park perfection.  These are the ones we grabbed recently from Walmart, and they're a KILLER price.  Lydia has her own, so I'm not carrying ALL her items anymore.  We stock them with hand wipes, sanitizer, extra hair ties, masks, sunscreen, lip gloss, and bandaids (a park day must).  I also keep a few more first aid items in mine (advil, antacids, and emergency snacks).

Shop Fanny Packs:

Shoes: Now, this may seem silly, but the shoes you wear are KEY to a great day.  Sneakers or comfortable sandals work in any temperature.  TRY THEM FIRST, do not wear brand new shoes to the parks.  I grabbed these sneakers for Lydia recently, and they've been a HIT.  A great price, and perfect for a Disney day!

Shop Disney Sneakers:

Comfortable Clothes: Function and fashion are equally important here.  Yes, you want to look cute, but you definitely don't want to spend ALL DAY in uncomfortable clothes.  Think breathable items, and if you're wearing a dress? Shorts underneath for chafing.

These are all items we've worn to Disney recently:

Sanitizing Wipes: Stock up now.  I've found that I like bringing travel packs of sanitizing wipes more than a bottle of hand sanitizer in my Disney suitcase and in my backpack for the day.  They can wipe down hands and surfaces easily.

Shop Sanitizing Wipes Travel Packs:

Phone Battery Pack: There is nothing worse than a dying phone during a Disney trip.  I can guarantee your phone will not last a whole day in the parks, and the places to plug your phone in are minimal.  I usually bring at least one (and often two) phone battery packs to charge my phone.  Pro tip: charge your phone while waiting in line for rides.

Shop Phone Battery Packs:

Bags to Sort Items: You don't want to be digging through the depths of your bag when you need the sunscreen or a bandaid.  I love bags like these ziploc makeup bags to sort items within my backpack or fanny pack.  They keep everything organized and easy to access!

Shop Sorting Bags:

Ok Disney family, what did I miss? What do you pack in your Disney Suitcase?

🎃unpopular opinion: You don’t have to do Oogi 🎃unpopular opinion: You don’t have to do Oogie Boogie Bash to have the perfect spooky season day at Disneyland⠀⠀🎃Now, here’s the thing: I love Oogie Boogie Bash. But it sells out SO quickly every year. And I promise, there is still a LOT of Halloween Time fun at Disneyland (yes even without an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket). I’ve been hopping around the parks with Undercover Tourist and we’ve had a TOTAL blast doing all the spooky things together.⠀⠀A few of my favorite Halloweenie things to do during a parks day (or night):⠀🖤visit the Halloween Tree (IYKYK)⠀🧡watch the Dapper Dans sing all their cutesiest spookiest songs⠀🖤check out the Dia de los Muertos area in Frontierland AND the performances in Paradise Guardians (check for the Mariachi Divas in the app….they’re AMAZING)⠀🧡try at least one new to me spooky treat (yup, that includes my seasonal cold brews and this year’s Minnie Bat Caramel Apple)⠀🖤do alllll the themed attractions, each of these does something special for Halloweentime: Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Monsters After Dark, Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree and…..our fav the Haunted Mansion ⠀🧡do Pumpkin Pursuit at Downtown Disney ⠀🖤the new Goofy’s Kitchen Halloween Dinner and Brunch (we loved the dinner over the weekend and I’m sharing the brunch in stories today!)⠀⠀🎃My friends at Undercover Tourist have some pretty awesome guides to Halloweentime on their site……they’re a great spooky season resource for info and a great deals on Disney tickets resource year round. I know, I rave about them a lot but……who doesn’t love a Disney partner that gives you deals on trips to the Happiest Place on Earth for ANY holiday or season?⠀⠀#FrogHopDLR #Disneyland#DisneylandResort #Halloweentime @themeparkfrog @disneyland⠀⠀⠀

🚨 3 MISTAKES I MADE AT MY FIRST RUN DISNEY RACE 🚨 3 MISTAKES I MADE AT MY FIRST RUN DISNEY RACE 🚨⠀⠀🛑 Learn from my mistakes, 3 things you should NOT do if you’re running Disney races this year (trust me):⠀⠀1️⃣ Passing Go and Heading STRAIGHT to the parks: I realllllyyyyy wanted medal pictures. In my running outfit. So, instead of taking the buses straight from the finish line back to the hotel……we went to the Magic Kingdom. Took photos. Went to lunch. And felt…..terrible by about 1 pm. So take it from me, finish the race. Go to the hotel. Shower. Take a nap. THEN go to the parks. ⠀2️⃣ Breakfast: ok, mistake number 2. WHAT WE ATE. We booked a very cute, very on theme lunch. It was also very rich and creamy food. And…..was NOT IT after a race. Some of us may have gotten sick. It might have been the food. Or the lack of sleep. But, breakfast food (waffles / eggs) would have been a MUCH better choice. Now bonus points if you can guess where we ate. Love it, but….not for the first meal after the race.⠀3️⃣ Park Tickets: I spent WAY too much. I didn’t buy my park tickets in advance and paid full price. On a race weekend, you’ll probably want tickets for race day and the day after if not two days after. So….buy them NOW. While you can get a deal. ⠀⠀🎟️ Which leads to……when I say buy those park tickets now, I mean it. Big News! Undercover Tourist is offering their best ticket deal at BOTH Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort…for a VERY limited time, get Adult Theme Park Tickets at Child Prices. So whichever race you are running (or races in my case)……snag tickets NOW. I’m grabbing mine for Wine and Dine and Princess weekend……..⠀🎟️ want a link to the deal? Comment TICKETS PLEASE and I’ll send it your way! ⠀👟 Are you running a Disney Race this year? Which one? ⠀⠀🥇 And if you’re an experienced Run Disney person….what tips do YOU have for first timers?⠀⠀@themeparkfrog @disneyland #FrogHopDLR #rundisney

Two good witches and one black cat…….kick off Two good witches and one black cat…….kick off another year of family halloween costumes. The thing is, I tried to talk Lydia out of these costumes. It was a cooler day on Saturday and I kept telling her we could just wear jeans and the hats. Until, I realized…….we may not have that many Halloween seasons left of cute family costumes. So pink witches we were…..for the kickoff of Legoland’s Brick or Treat. We love Brick or Treat (this is our 3rd year doing it). It’s got some new activities this year, and I L-O-V-E that it’s included in your regular @legolandcalifornia ticket (bonus it ALSO will be included in Kids Free October here in SD).Our favs this year:- the wacky witch trail near the water park entrance- the zombie cheerleaders- halloween themed apple fries- the monster security checkpoint- Jam Out with the Rockers (this meet and greet is HYSTERICAL, scroll for the footage)Brick or Treat takes place on Saturdays in September and then Saturdays and SOME Sundays in October (dates are on the Legoland website).Welp, this makes it official. Summer has come to an end. Bring on the Halloween fun!#sponsored #LEGOLANDcalifornia
