Looking for outfits for Disney World? These are the BEST options for each park that are comfortable and fitting with each season!
Anyone else dreaming of a Disney World vacation? After multiple trips to Disney World and you know……being locals at Disneyland…….Disney Outfits are pretty much our specialty.
I have to admit, I’m a notorious overpacker and over outfit planner…….especially when it comes to Disneyland outfits. So I knew when we first visited Disney World Outfits would be a challenge. My goal? To not go over that 50 pound suitcase weight limit. Shoes are normally the heaviest item I pack…..so I challenged myself on our last trip. To use the same shoes as many times as possible (and they HAD to be comfortable).
A few notes from this DisneyLAND local. Prepare for quick weather changes. In California, the weather is much more consistent throughout the day. In Florida? Rain showers are common, and while it can be HOT during the day? It can be cool in the early morning or evening. I found that layers are key. Bring a rain poncho and a light jacket in your backpack……potentially a change of shoes or at least socks as well.
Reminder. Masks are currently required in all Disney Parks. Please adhere to that guideline. If you’d like mask recommendations or my tips as a behavioral specialist, I have a WHOLE article about how to help kids with mask wearing.
Disney World Outfits: By Park
I wanted to share a bit about how I planned my Disney World Outfits, based on park. We’ve visited for spring break twice, I’ve also visited in January, February and once in July. So the weather was mostly warm in the spring and summer. In January and February? We did need light jackets in the morning and evening.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom may be my favorite park. It’s filled with beautiful rich colors and lush backgrounds. My personal favorite places to take pictures? The Harumbe Market and Pandora (which has some of the best rides in Animal Kingdom). Full disclosure, we wore two different outfits during the day at Animal Kingdom (I changed to the dress in the late afternoon before we headed to dinner at one of the hotels). For colors? I’d suggest rich reds, oranges, and yellows (like my overall outfit)…..blues also look great in contrast.
Some of my Favorite Pieces for Animal Kingdom Outfits:
Magic Kingdom
There’s something especially magical about…..Magical Kingdom. From the castle to Fantasyland to the famous purple wall, it’s so much fun to walk around and soak in the ultimate Disney vibe.
If you’re planning to hit up the best rides at the Magic Kingdom, or to just stroll down Main Street and take in the sights, there are a ton of fun photo ops and you’ll want to have some great Disney outfits planned out. For Magic Kingdom? There are TONS of bright colors, and a lot of the classic Disney palette. So I usually try for blacks, greys and whites with pops of primary colors (red and blue mostly). These always look GREAT with all the Magic Kingdom backdrops.
My favorite spots to take pictures in Magic Kingdom? The castle, the purple wall and the Dumbo ride. There are a million nooks and crannies, but those are my classic Disney favorites. Magic Kingdom is the perfect place for Mickey themed Disney World outfits.
Some of my Favorite Pieces for Magic Kingdom Outfits:
Hollywood Studios
We loved loved loved visiting Hollywood Studios…..especially Pixar Place and the Incredibles area (try to time your visit to see a dance party if you can, and be SURE to grab a Num Num cookie….they’re DELISH). This whole section is Incredibles colors (red, yellow and black)…….and we dressed accordingly. Yes, we were those cheesy people in matching Incredibles tees. But it was so fun!
Another fun option for Disney outfits in Hollywood Studios? Galaxy’s Edge is such a special part of the park. Get decked out in your best Star Wars gear and super fan it up!
Some of my Favorite Pieces for Hollywood Studios Outfits:
Epcot
Epcot has become my husband’s favorite park. We had so much fun exploring every country, and I can’t WAIT to go back so that we can try more food and drink options. Epcot was the hardest park to plan Disney World Outfits for, because there is so much variance in backgrounds. I settled on simple colors and shorts, so that our outfits would go with everything. You could easily theme to one of the lands….or you epic Frozen fans? Dress in all Anna and Elsa gear for the Frozen ride!
Disney World Outfits: The Best Shoes for Disney World
When it comes to the best shoes for Disneyworld….comfort is KEY. Sneakers or sandals with support. No heels. No wedges.
These? Some of my tried and true options:
