Last year Lydia decided to participate in her firs Last year Lydia decided to participate in her first play, she came home from the auditions feeling a bit defeated. She was in the ensemble, and by the end of the last performance, we knew she was all in. In the last year she’s been a part of 5 productions, taken a dance practicum, and started voice lessons. But the most important thing that has happened? She’s become a part of a wonderful, warm and welcoming community. Theatre kids are the best.When the cast list for this show was released, I was brought to tears not because she got her first big role but by the reaction of her friends. The texts and phone calls from other kids in the show cheering her on and celebrating her......was truly something special.Proud of her. Proud of them all. And yes, if you scroll to the last slide, that’s 100 children on stage for the closing number. Proud of my Queen Belle. Proud of the whole cast of Descendants. And grateful to the wonderful adults who create this space for our children. Now we rest, tech week / performance weekend is no joke!!

Listen......finding time to do date nights is roug Listen......finding time to do date nights is rough (at least a little better now that we’ve aged out of needing babysitters but still not easy).10 am weekend dates for the win right? 📍the new Sip and Stroll tour at the Safari Park.....who doesn’t love fancy cocktails and a guided tour that gets you up close and personal time with the elephants. Plus the tour ends with private time at Mkutano House (such a vibe). This one is 21 and up and happens most weekends (there is an afternoon option if 10 am cocktails aren’t your thing)!
