The Perfect Date Night Movie: Jumanji Welcome

Well, the holidays are just about here……and we’re already thinking about New Year’s resolutions. One of our big ones this year? MORE DATE NIGHTS. Remember when I got to attend at early screening of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in Hawaii during the press junket? Well, now my husband is begging to see it. So, it’s going to be our first official ( a few days early) date of 2018.

The Date Agenda: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is literally the perfect dinner and a movie film. Want to pair the film with a fun dinner? Nick Jonas’ character in the film makes a mean margarita (that leads to some of my favorite scenes), so our plan? Tacos, Margaritas and preparing for laughing more than we have in awhile. Want an alternate option? Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was filmed in Hawaii…..so seafood or Hawaiian food would be fun to try too!

Who Will Love This Movie: Honestly? I loved Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle WAY more than I thought I would. The comedic timing of Jack Black and Kevin Hart is phenomenal……I was impressed with how well they both fit into their roles (and since Jack Black is body switching with a teenage girl — that says a LOT). Dwanye Johnson, as always is hysterical and charismatic. But my favorite part? The constant 90s throwbacks. If you grew up in the 90s (shout out to my high school years)…..you’ll be spitting out your soda as you laugh out loud. They even include a tribute to one of my favorite 90s songs (no spoilers, but once you see it……let me know)!

If you’re looking for a fun date night film, be sure to sneak away from the kids for a couple hours and put this on your agenda!
