Mommy and Me Dates? These Mommy Daughter activities are perfect ways to spend time with your little one for under $25!
I’ve partnered with Huhtamaki Inc. for the Chinet® brand to create this post! Enjoy!
Hello Saturday mornings. Each Saturday, my husband heads to work……and Lydia and I spend the morning together. Saturdays have become our special time for Mommy and Me dates. We explore new places, try new activities, and taste test new foods and beverages. Our goal? To never spend more than $25.
10 Mommy and Me Dates (for under $25):
1)Painting Tour: Pack up watercolors and an easel (or crayons and a notepad)…..visit your favorite park or nature preserve. Sit side by side and DRAW.
2)Local Wildlife Walk: Create a list of creatures that live in your community (racoons, ants, coyotes, birds)…..walk around your neighborhood and see how many you can spot. Bonus if you make binoculars for the walk from paper towel rolls!
3)Acts of Service: Deliver homemade cookies to your local fire or police station. If you’re lucky (or call ahead) they’ll give you a quick tour!
4)New Friend Search: Visit your local playground. The goal? To introduce yourselves to at least three new families. Bring sand toys, and invite them to play!
5) Movie Date: Morning movie showings? Always practically empty (and less expensive). A late morning movie is the perfect place to start a toddler off!
6)Pampering Session: Who says you need to visit a nail salon? Pick up some kid friendly nail polish….and create your own spa day.
7)Coffee Date: Lydia LOVESSSSSS muffins and milk. Me? Coffee. Our absolute favorite weekend morning activity? To pack up our breakfast items and head to our favorite park. We sit, eat, and drink together. Then…….we play. And we’re home before lunch.
A few tips for those morning coffee dates (based on trial and error). Matching cups? Are key. We keep a package of Comfort Cup® by Chinet® insulated hot cups on hand. These to go coffee cups are perfect for both hot (coffee for me) and cold (milk for Lydia) beverages and Lydia LOVES that her cup looks like mine. Try different locations each week, we’ve explored a ton of new parks with our breakfast picnics.

Good ideas! I feel like every day is a mommy-daughter date with my girls, so we don’t do anything like this. Once in awhile, I will take one girl and my hubby will take one so they get one on one time. That’s always nice no matter what we do! Thanks so much for sharing these ideas at the Family Joy linkup! Hope to see you again next Sunday!
Mommy and Daughter time is so special! Such a sweet post <3
