Summer Ice Cream Social: the perfect summer kickoff……a get together with some of the most amazing mom bosses!

I still can’t believe we are THIS CLOSE to summer vacation.  Honestly? This school year has been a total whirlwind, and one of the things that I dropped the ball on? Spending time with some of the amazing women that work in influencer marketing and branding here in LA.  One of my goals this year was to find ways to work grown up time into our crazy schedule.  But, I figured….it’s never too late!

Last weekend, Lydia and I teamed up with Tillamook to create the perfect ice cream social for some of our favorite mom bosses (and their mini-mes).  Our plan? To create an environment the kids would love so that the adults had time together.

 Summer Ice Cream Social

I think this gathering may become a monthly tradition, I loved the opportunity to get together with a group of amazing and inspiring women (and I love that the kids were entertained the ENTIRE TIME).

 

Location: Location was key, we hosted our ice cream social inside the Santa Monica Carousel.  We rented out a small private space.  It was perfect for the kids to play, and to set up our ADORABLE ice cream tasting station (not gonna lie we all went back for seconds and thirds…..Tillamook’s Ice Cream is AMAZING and they have so many great flavor options).

Set Up: We set up a simple do-it-yourself sundae station.  After tasting Tillamook flavors, each guest picked their favorite and garnished with organic sprinkles, fun sauces and noshed to their hearts content.  Spoiler? The Birthday Cake flavor was the most popular (and Mudslide is my personal favorite).

Activities: Since we wanted to be SURE we had grown up time together, we had independent activities for the kids.  They were able to go on unlimited carousel rides and had a blast playing together.

Gift Bags: Is a party even complete without some fun take home gifts?  I was really excited to send each family home with a gift bag of amazing goodies.  Each bag contained coupons for their own favorite Tillamook Ice Cream flavor (obviously), kids’ necklaces and bracelets and children’s makeup sets that inspires girls to discuss their inner beauty and is TOTALLY safe for children to use).

Are you gearing up for summer? This will definitely not be my last Tillamook Ice Cream Social……..in fact, after having so much fun chatting with the ladies I think our next one will be an evening ice cream social for grown ups only.  I think we ate more ice cream than the kids!  My 40th birthday party is coming up……seems like the perfect time to get the group together again!  Want to include Tillamook Ice Cream at your next get together?
