Want to create a simple home coffee station? This is our diy coffee station made with mostly items we already had at home!
Now that our kitchen remodel is just about finished (thanks a lot home water damage)……I’m having fun working on smaller home projects around our house.Ā I have to admit, when we moved into our San Diego home….I was so busy settling into the city that I didn’t spend a TON of time settling into the house.Ā Now that we got to implement all the light grey kitchen ideas that we imagined and to see the area finally come to light…..I decided it was time to make the home coffee station of my dreams.Ā Honestly? I wasn’t looking for anything intricate or fancy, just a simple area to make our morning cup (or cups) of coffee with a few fun home decor pieces.Ā Most of these items we had at home, and the rest? Really rounded out the space nicely.
Home Coffee Station
Planning your own at home coffee station? You’ll need a fair amount of space…..either on your countertop or a rolling cart.Ā For us? I decided to use part of our counter space, since the black, white, and grey elements matched our kitchen perfectly.Ā I didn’t want anything super cluttered, and we’re a family of three (two grown up coffee drinkers)….so we didn’t need a TON of coffee items accessible on a daily basis.Ā My plan? To rotate decor elements every now and again, maybe add a seasonal item or two.Ā But all in all? I just wanted a fun, clean area to make coffee.
Home Coffee Station Elements
These simple elements are key for a functional home coffee station……everything you need to make a great cup of java a home.
Shop Coffee Station Elements:Ā
Keurig K Duo: We upgraded our coffee maker last year, and have never looked back.Ā The Keurig K Duo makes both individual cups of coffee and a carafe if you’re making coffee for a group.
Mugs: Anyone else have a massive mug collection?Ā I stored most of mine in the cabinet about our home coffee station, but I’m going to rotate a seasonal one or two as part of the decor.
Storage Jars: These storage jars are what we are using to store kcups and sugar packets.Ā I love that they hide the clutter and match our vibe.
State Spoon Rest: This spoon rest actually moved with us from LA, and I love that it fits into our new coffee station.Ā It’s available in every state, so a great way to customize your home coffee station!
Home Coffee Station Decor
I didn’t want to add a TON of decorative elements to the coffee area, just enough to add a little pizazz.
Welcome Home Sign: This metal round Welcome Home sign is from Joyfully Said Signs, and I love it’s unique style (they also make REALLY cute seasonal signs that I added to our console table in our entryway).Ā It’s the perfect element to match our black pendant lights and really ties in the colors in the kitchen.

Gumball Machine: Yes, I gave in to the decorative gumball machine trend. I bought this painted version on Etsy, and decided it was the perfect place to store our organic sugar cubes.
