I’m not going to lie, finding the perfect fit jeans has ALWAYS been a challenge for my pear shaped body.…..so I decided it was time to try custom fit jeans.  This? Is my experience with my first time ordering a pair of custom jeans.

Custom Fit Jeans: Yes, they exist. And these? Are a lot less expensive than you think!

I feel like I’m constantly on the hunt for great fitting jeans.  And honestly? It seems like I’m the Goldilocks of pants.  I don’t know if it’s my specific body type or this is a general issue (I’m guessing this is an issue for a lot of us) but…..finding jeans that fit really well? Is not easy.  The waist is too big if the hips are correct, the back pockets are in the wrong place, the front pockets are too bulky, or….they’re too long.  It’s ALWAYS something.

So a couple weeks ago, a random Google search lead me to a new idea.  What if I tried custom fit jeans?  Would they be worth it? And would they cost a million dollars?  Would it be a difficult process? My google search lead me to Sene.  You may recognize their name, they recent did a collaboration with Emma Lovewell ( the Peleton instructor) to design a capsule collection.

I figured, this would either be a total game changer…..or something I’d never do again.

Custom Fit Jeans: A Full Review

So how did this work? There were a number of custom jeans options on the Sene site, and I decided to try the Air Loose Straight Jeans in the special edition Emma Blue.   After answering an extensive survey (you can either use a measuring tape to put in exact body measurements for your perfect fit jeans or you answer a LOT of questions about sizing and how clothes fit)….then I got to do the fun stuff.  I got to make these my own style.  From custom rise (high rise, medium rise, low rise or a custom measurement) to custom length (full length, ankle length, cropped or a custom measurement), I got to design the jeans of my dreams.  For this custom denim pair, I did a high rise and a cropped length and a zip fly.  These jeans were priced at $149.  So comparable with any pair of designer jeans.

Custom Fit Jeans: this brand makes totally customized jeans based on your measurements and preference! And....they're a GREAT price!

Fast forward about 5 weeks….and my custom made jeans arrived in the mail.  I couldn’t WAIT to try the final product.  I immediately opened the package and tried them on.  I had imagined loose jeans with a nice straight leg that were JUST loose enough to be comfortable.  And these? Might be my new favorite jeans.  They fit like a DREAM.

A few important things to note about Sene.  Their jeans are made of a lightweight denim perfect for year round wear.  They have both fitted jeans and loose jeans options and…..no size range limits since they are making custom fit jeans. There is no additional shipping cost and they save your measurements for all your next orders.  Sene  also offers free remakes and alterations.  If your custom tailored jeans aren’t EXACTLY as you imagined…..then you immediately send pictures and they’ll adjust and remake until you get EXACTLY the fit you want.

Have you tried custom fit jeans? These are PERFECTION!

So my final thoughts on my first experience with custom fit jeans? I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer.  This was a fabulous way to get high quality jeans with a fit guarantee and a fit that I absolutely love (I’m actually wearing my own jeans today as I write this and they’ve worn three times in a row without stretching out….so ANOTHER thing to make me a Sene  superfan).  For my next pair of jeans from them, I’ll try straight jeans or skinny jeans I think!
