Looking for the Best Bathing Suits Target has for 2020? These suits are flattering to both your pear shaped body and your bank account!
I just got home from a trip to the mother ship and guess what?!? Target bathing suits are in store for 2020 (at least here in San Diego where it’s almost summer weather time). Truth time: finding flattering one piece swimsuits for a decent price can be TOUGH. I did a little research (you’re welcome), and tested out a TON of the cute bathing suits Target just released (I tried on at least 25 suits). Well, hold on to your hats ladies (especially you pear shaped body types)…..because I found some awesome fitting ones and at these prices? You can snag grab them all and hoard until spring break or summer vacation!
you want to draw the eyes towards your neck and shoulder….a fun neckline, lace, a brighter color, and lace or crochet or fun hardware will do that easily
find pieces that fit well and hug your curves, baggy suits or loose tops don’t flatter a pear shaped body, you want to accentuate that small waist and midsection (and there’s nothing worse than an unflattering swimsuit, so take the time to actually TRY ON suits before heading to the pool or beach)
try different colors and fabrics, you’ll have your favorites and it’s best to stick to those
Target carries a ton of swimsuit lines, but there are a handful that are my favorites. Kona Sol debuted last year, and I was SUPER excited to try on a few of their pieces. The line is created to be figure flattering, and focuses on the idea that every body is a beach body ( I know, a collection after my own heart). Shade and Shore has suits with killer support (they have some in cup sized options). If you’re looking for a more structured top, they’re a perfect option. All in Motion is a new activewear line from Target, and their suits are AMAZING for you know…..actually swimming or surfing.
Shop all bathing suits Target had at my try on:
Square Neck Bikini (size medium top, size large bottom): I love love love the color of this suit. It has built in cups, and full coverage on the bottom. If you’re looking for a fun, beachy color this is a GREAT choice!
Black Lace Up Scallop Suit (size large): I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t LOVE this suit. It’s fine. I felt like it was a sort of boring black suit. But, if you’re hunting for a simple black suit….it’s a good option at a great price!
Floral Side Cinch Suit (size large): Isn’t this print fun? I love love love the tropical floral vibe, and the color is perfect for a summer vacation or beach day!
Macrame High Coverage One Piece Swimsuit (size large): I love the details on this suit SO much. The macrame straps add the right amount of pizazz to a simple suit, and I think they look very high end for a killer price!
Animal Print One Piece (size large): Literally, the best leopard print bathing suit I’ve ever tried on. It fits like a dream and I love that the side cinches up so you can adjust to your body type.
Colorblocked Suit (size large): This suit is SO flattering. I almost didn’t try it on, and I’m so glad I did. It fits really well, and is a classic style that will be wearable for YEARS.
Palm Print Two Piece (size medium top, size large bottom): isn’t this one adorable? I snagged it for an upcoming trip and love how comfortable it is. Killer support and full coverage in the back.
Floral Bikini (size medium top, size large bottom): I love the black and white floral print on this two piece. This would be great for an athletic beach day, the top supports like a sports bra.
