Running Diary: Run Disney Disneyland Half Marathon Running Diary: Run Disney Disneyland Half Marathon👟13.1 miles through Disney California Adventure and Disneyland plus......a good amount of time on the streets of Anaheim✨The weather was IDEAL, honestly the best race weather I’ve had in a long time and wow does it make a difference🏰 This was the best I’ve felt during a half marathon….ever??? I fueled, hydrated and stuck to my run / walk intervals (I tend to divert from the plan during races) oh and…..my fastest run Disney half finish?!? 👑Loved staying at my home away from home Hojo Anaheim for race weekend (THANK YOU for hosting me)…I know I rave about the property all the time but....... it’s walking distance to the parks, the rooms are spacious and the staff is lovely.💕A few race staples:- Shokz headphones (I love that they let me hear my surroundings during races)- Bombas running socks- Body Glide cause we don’t have time for chafing- Firefly recovery bands for post race and a Theragun Massager👟Next Disney race? Stand by for that info ;-) Do you have a race coming up?
And that’s a wrap: 13.1 miles today and 6.2 yester And that’s a wrap: 13.1 miles today and 6.2 yesterday.......19.3 miles in two days and I officially conquered the Dumbo Double Dare!This morning the Mayor of Anaheim spoke at the starting line, reminding us that we were standing in a city built by immigrants. She proudly stated that all are welcome here and I’ve never felt more pumped up at the start of a race.Rundisney is special. The community is unique and supportive and inclusive. I’m going to miss having it this close to home.
