Running Diary: The Disneyland Halloween Half Marat Running Diary: The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon 👟🏰🎃🔥13.1 miles through Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Anaheim. There is NOTHING like it. We got unique characters, we got to run through Angel Stadium, and I got to see oh so many friends. It was a scorcher……we knew it would be warm thanks to Southern California’s heat wave but PHEW. Those last few miles were…….toasty. Honestly, my training got me through….knowing I’d run these miles time after time allowed me to put in the headphones and go. And if you saw me almost 🤢 after crossing the finish line…..no you didn’t.Loved staying at Hojo Anaheim for race weekend (THANK YOU HOJO for hosting me)…they’re a SUPER close walk to the race start lines and right up the street from Disneyland itself. Is it wrong to say how proud of myself I am? I di Is it wrong to say how proud of myself I am?I did that. 13.1 miles. This was my third RunDisney half marathon and honestly the toughest because of the heat. This was such a reminder for me that we train for so much more than race day. Running has truly changed my life for the better, and it’s so much more than one race or one run. If you were out there today….YOU DID THAT and I’m proud of you. I’m proud of me too. Little Carly who viewed herself as incredibly unathletic would be shocked. But grown up Carly knows how strong I am. now, a couple rest days, some good meals and a whole lot of rehydration.#rundisney #dlrhalloweenhalf #dlrhalf #halloweentime #disneyland
