I'm starting to dream of warm temperatures and fruity drinks, so this Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe was the perfect grown up fruity drink recipe. Super easy to make, and somehow…..tastes even more amazing when drank out of a copper mug!
Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe
This is so easy to throw together but is definitely an impressive drink to share. Blueberries are ideal for pairing with ginger beer and vodka. While I prefer using fresh berries in season, you can always find great blueberries in the frozen food section that make this possible year round.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of blueberries
1/2 cup sugar
vodka
lime juice
Instructions For Syrup:
Blueberry Syrup (prepare in advance)
combine blueberries, sugar and 1 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan
bring to a boil, allow to boil for 8 minutes
lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes
strain the syrup and allow to completely cool
If you are new to making cocktails at home, you'll want to invest in a great Cocktail Shaker set. I love this kit from Mixoligist World since it is both functional and affordable. Plus it looks great on your bar!
Instructions for preparing Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe
In a cocktail shaker combine:
2-3 jiggers vodka
2 jiggers blueberry simple syrup
12-14 ounces ginger beer
dash of lime juice
shake and serve over ice
serves two (or one really enthusiastic drinker)
You don't have to have a copper mug for your Moscow mule recipe, but it really does make them so much more fun to drink! This classic look is also beautiful on a serving tray when you have friends over for dinner. My Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe is a favorite at any summer BBQ party!
Bundaberg Ginger Beer is a favorite of mine for this Moscow Mule Recipe, but you can use any favorite ginger beer available. Ginger beer is a non-alcoholic beverage so you'll find it located next to the soft drinks in your market.
This Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe is a great option for a simple evening cocktail on a warm summer evening or a great way to warm up on a cold winter night. I love how versatile the Moscow Mule is to adapt to fruits, and making a blueberry simple syrup at home makes this a perfect simple cocktail even a novice bartender can manage.
