Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe

This is so easy to throw together but is definitely an impressive drink to share.  Blueberries are ideal for pairing with ginger beer and vodka.  While I prefer using fresh berries in season, you can always find great blueberries in the frozen food section that make this possible year round.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of blueberries

1/2 cup sugar

vodka

ginger beer

lime juice

Instructions For Syrup: 

Blueberry Syrup (prepare in advance)

combine blueberries, sugar and 1 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan

bring to a boil, allow to boil for 8 minutes

lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes

strain the syrup and allow to completely cool

If you are new to making cocktails at home, you’ll want to invest in a great Cocktail Shaker set.  I love this kit from Mixoligist World since it is both functional and affordable.  Plus it looks great on your bar!

Instructions for preparing Blueberry Moscow Mule Recipe

In a cocktail shaker combine:

2-3 jiggers vodka

2 jiggers blueberry simple syrup

12-14 ounces ginger beer

dash of lime juice

shake and serve over ice

serves two (or one really enthusiastic drinker)
