Let’s talk about the best running attire for women (for all seasons and climates). I’ve been a jogger for years, but in the last few….I have gotten into training for longer distances.
I started with training for the Disney World Princess 10k then I moved into longer runs and did the Disney World Wine and Dine midway through my training for my first half marathon.
Let me tell you….the more I run, the more I am reminded that in cold weather or warm summer months ….having the best running gear makes a huge difference. Running accessories and the perfect fit pieces are always a good idea on short runs but….as I’ve learned they’re a requirement for long runs. That repeated motion for extended periods of time……make you notice the effect of a supportive sports bra or the best running shirts and trust me, you’ll notice how your running tights fit.

A few things to note:
- I live and run in Southern California, so we don’t really get super cold weather. Our cold days are in the low 50s (and I love running in that weather). I don’t need a running jacket even during our colder months so if you are looking for cold days recommendations….I may not be the girl for that
- I do mostly road running (even the lake I run regularly has a paved trail)…..so I have some great shoe recommendations for THAT specifically

- Compression: Compression leggings are not just a fashion statement. They can aid in muscle recovery by improving blood circulation. Consider them for longer runs or intense training sessions. I do a mid-level compression so that they’re comfortable but…..helpful.

Socks might seem like a small detail, but ask any runner, and they’ll tell you the importance of a good pair of running socks. I tried a number of different types but….there was ONE that was recommended over and over again by y’all.
