The last few months have been so busy, I’ve been r The last few months have been so busy, I’ve been running less and was slightly worried about how this haf marathon was going to go but.....turns out training and vibes will get you through.Might be one of my favorite races I’ve ever done, it was the first at home where my family has gotten to come spectate. I got to see some of YOU on the course. San Diego showed up and showed out with the support, the weather, and the drinks (we have learned that our 46 year old self does not do straight tequila before 8 am but now we know). This was my first Rock and Roll race and now.....I want to do more. Already signed up for the San Diego Rock and Roll Half Marathon next year. Anyone want to join?!?!

It was new and different and challenging but we did it.Grades and accomplishments were important, and she had some great ones. But most important of all, she remembered who she was and surrounded herself with good people. The greatest success of all.Now here’s to no alarms, some solid sleeping in, and no carpool to coordinate for a bit!

a little disclaimer: it was the last school night a little disclaimer: it was the last school night of the year......so, it doesn’t really count right?!?Absolutely worth staying up past bedtime to see The Sound of Music. Can you believe this was our first time seeing the live show?!? (the movie is a fav).Also, this is your reminder that every touring Broadway show does a stage door....this is not just a New York or Nothing thing. Biased? Probably but San Diego’s stage door at the Civic is one of the best. It’s rarely crowded and a signed program is such a fun thing to have as a keepsake (we love a free souvenir).There was something especially magical about the cast being.....Lydia’s age. These kids killed it and were so much fun after the show!If you’re at the Civic, the stage door is at the corner of C St. and Third Ave.
