Stitch Fix Review: FAQs about Stitch Fix

Do you love a good Stitch Fix review? Are you a little apprehensive about trying Stitch Fix yourself? I'm answering YOUR questions about Stitch Fix!Stitch Fix Review: FAQs about Stitch Fix by Lipgloss and CrayonsLately I've been getting a lot of questions about Stitch Fix.  I thought this was a perfect time to put together a little FAQs post for y'all!

In case you aren’t already a Stitch Fix nut…….a bit about the service: Stitch Fix is a personalized styling service that sends five pieces to your doorstep.  The great thing? When you join, you fill out an extensive styling profile.  You can request certain items or even ask for options for a specific event.  You choose how often you get a fix (for me it’s once a month).  In the comfort of your own home, you try on all items.  Then you keep what you love, and send back the rest…..and all with free shipping!  There is a $20 styling fee, but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any of the items you keep.  And YES, you can set a price range you feel comfortable with.

Stitch Fix Review: FAQs

Why do you love Stitch Fix so much? To be honest, I didn't ALWAYS love Stitch Fix.  I tried it a couple of years back and was kind of underwhelmed.  In hindsight, I provided VERY little feedback to my stylists.  I let them just send whatever, and then couldn't understand why I wasn't getting items I loved.  Early in 2016, I kept seeing items on Pinterest that I loved…..and they were ALL items from Stitch Fix deliveries people had shared.  So, I gave it another shot.  But this time? I was specific.  I left feedback.  I requested specific types of items.  What sealed the deal? Remember back in June when I worked with the Stitch Fix team to do a television segment? I was styled by them live and in person.  When I saw the amazing variety of items they had….I was SOLD.

What happens if you don't like ANYTHING? It has happened.  And want to know when? When I wasn't asking for anything specific or didn't give feedback. (For tips on how what to do when you don't love your Fix……read HERE)

Do you always have the same stylist? Yes I do.  Why is this awesome? Because she's able to really grasp my style.  She writes personal notes each month, and I love hearing why she picked certain pieces!

What are your favorite items from Stitch Fix? Oh man.  How do I pick? I've gotten a couple pairs of jeans that I LOVE.  And I'm very particular about jeans and fit.  My favorites?

/ Lila Ryan Liza Colored Skinny Jean / Liverpool Nic Cropped Skinny Jeans /

What if I find the same item somewhere else on sale? Stitch Fix price matches.  Yup, contact customer service and they'll hook you up!

How much do you spend on a Fix each month? It totally depends.  I always try to keep at least one item, so that I can apply my fix fee.  Usually I end up keep two or three items and spending around $100.

To see more of what I've gotten in past fixes check out my Stitch Fix Review page!

And just in case you want to try Stitch Fix for yourself…..I'm teaming up with a few other Stitch Fix fans to give one of YOU a $350 Stitch Fix gift card!

I love Stitch Fix, also. They are a great company that really cares about their clients. They heard that my son and I would be in the hospital for an extended period of time, and sent us both personalized gifts to help us through a tough time.

Now, if I’m being totally honest…..this pulled Now, if I’m being totally honest…..this pulled muscle? I should have known better. When training for my race, I didn’t stretch or warm up enough most days and….here we are.Lesson learned. I’m 4 weeks post race (do not recommend running a 10k on a pulled muscle) and I’m……almost better. I’m learning to stretch and walk and to take better care of myself so that I can start running again REALLY soon (we’re almost there I think). For now? I’m doing recovery walks and trying to strengthen my leg. And trying to make sure I get enough protein. When I talked about Built Bars on my stories, a LOTTTTT of you raced about their Puffs. Yup, I get it. They’re AMAZING. I’ve been bringing them along on my walks (and gluten free friends….they have some great options for us).Have you ever pulled a muscle? The Zoo is close to downtown, the Safari Park is about 25 miles north. I’d suggest one day at each. They’re totally unique and both worth a visit. The Safari Park is smaller, but has REALLY unique exhibits (Walkabout Australia is my favorite).⠀2️⃣ both have some really fun and unique dining experiences that you can reserve in advance: Albert’s at the Zoo is a FANCY and fun sit down option, and The Watering Hole at Kijamii Overlook at the Safari Park is great for happy hour or a fun lunch ⠀3️⃣ there are great kids play areas at both locations, the Wildlife Explorers Base Camp area at the San Diego Zoo is brand new and absolutely amazing⠀⠀✨ Now, a bonus tip. Undercover Tourist now has NATIONWIDE savings on over 500 attractions in 50 cities and up to 25% on tickets for theme parks, zoo, museums, aquariums, city tours, water parks, and movie tickets. In high school, I wasn’t supposed to cross the b In high school, I wasn’t supposed to cross the bridge without permission.⠀⠀I grew up about 20 minutes from San Francisco, on the OTHER side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Yes, you know that opening scene in Full House where they’re driving across the bridge? I was on the other side of that. And one of MOST parents’ rules where I grew up? No going into the city without permission. Sorry mom and dad, it’s been long enough…..now I can disclose that we broke that rule constantly.⠀⠀San Francisco is my favorite city. It’s intimate and moody and filled with history and some of the best food in the world. It reminds me of childhood trips to the zoo and Golden Gate Park, it reminds me of my first apartment after college and my first serious relationship. It reminds me of 22 year old carefree nights with friends and milkshakes at Mels in high school and coffee in North Beach and nights in the Marin Headlands (the closest we were supposed to get to the bridge).⠀⠀So when I had the opportunity to spend 20 hours in my city by the Bay? I took it.⠀⠀Photo Diary:⠀1) nothing like a hotel room to yourself ⠀2) basically drove through a monsoon in San Diego yesterday to make it to the airport⠀3) through the fog? Dove is changing the game (pun intended) and we love to see it.⠀⠀Have you been to San Francisco?
