Ethical Fashion: Tips for Finding Formal Dresses
Finding ethically made formal wear can be difficult….but these life hacks will make it a little bit easier!
Made in the USA: Made in the USA brands are usually a great way to insure ethical practices. Nanette Lepore has GREAT options as does Splendid.
Borrow: Awesome companies like Rent the Runway are amazing, ethical options for getting more use out of great pieces. They have a ton of Made in the USA brands, and are a great price.
Known Brands: Go with brands you know, trust and love. Try local boutiques (or brick and mortar stores with websites) that specialize in ethical fashion like the Flourish Market.
For the kids? NON is an ethical fashion children’s clothing line for girls ages 2-10. They make stunning, creative dresses (Lydia pretty much refused to take this one off). NON is based in Denver, CO and their pieces are ethically produced at our studio in Vietnam.
Molly and I are teaming up with NON to share some great wedding fashion looks and to give one lucky little girl her own NON dress!
