It's time to transition to fall outfits! I'm sharing how to style a simple black t shirt dress for crisp, fall weather!Yup, it's September and Fall is (almost) here. Has anyone else been watching this Starbucks live feed of the pumpkin spice latte arrival? It's so cheesy, but I have to admit I loved it (now if it would JUST cool off enough to actually enjoy one). Lydia and I spent our long weekend visiting my family in Northern California, and I swear when I booked the trip….I expected crisp fall weather. In fact, I had tons of cute fall outfits ready to pack. What did I get? THE WORST HEAT WAVE IN THE LAST 45 YEARS IN THE BAY AREA. To be clear, there are obviously major issues in places like Houston that are significant and this was an annoyance. But, man was it not what I expected! We are planning to head up to visit my family again in a couple weeks……and I can't wait to feel the real fall weather next time.

How to Style a Black T Shirt Dress for Fall

You may remember me snagging this dress earlier in the summer during a huge sale at the Gap. One of the reasons I bought it? I knew it would be perfect for transitioning to fall. I actually wore it a ton over the summer (you can see one way HERE). And now, I'm gearing up to wear this black t shirt dress for fall. My favorite way? Layered. I paired a simple faux suede jacket with a fun boho necklace and my staple over the knee boots (also worn with jeggings HERE). I love that it can also easily be dressed up for fall by trading those boots for a great pump or bootie.
