Thank you to Au Naturale Cosmetics for collaborating on this post.
Hello holiday overbooking! I know, you know, we all know I'm a notorious overbooker. And it just gets worse around the holidays. I can't tell you how many day to night events we have coming up. Days when we don't have time to go home and change in between a family holiday afternoon event and a grown up holiday party. So, today I'm showing you how to take your holiday makeup and your holiday outfit from day to night in a few simple steps!
Day to Night? Clothing wise, once you've got a great foundation outfit…..it's as simple as a new sweater and shoes! My favorite jeans and quilted tee are simple pieces that can be dressed up or down. And last week when we had a Santa visit and then an evening holiday party? A change to a sequin cardigan and colored booties? Perfect! And to accompany that change……holiday makeup.
Night: / sequin cardigan / booties / Awhile back, I talked about my love for Au Naturale cosmetics. Au Naturale Cosmetics are organic, vegan, naturally derived, gluten free, and cruelty free. And the best part? They're super high quality, and easy to apply! Win, right?
So how did I use Au Naturale Cosmetics to take this holiday makeup look from day to night?
-After using my regular foundation and concealer, I applied Au Naturale’s Rose Gold Organic Creme Highlighter to cheekbones, browbones, and the bow of my lips and their Organic Creme Blusher in Sweetheart to the apples of my cheeks (I'm OBSESSED with this blush and wear it everyday…it's so pretty!)
-After applying a shadow primer, I applied three shadows from Au Naturale's Natural Eye Palette. Tupelo went all over my lip, Cedar in the crease, and Chai smudged and blended the colors.
-Au Naturale's Eye Pencil in Coco lined my top lips only for day.
-For day? Their lipgloss in Deep Coral was perfect.
To change this simple look from Day to Night? I relined my eyes, adding liner to the bottom lid…..and bumped up my lip color!
