Easter is just around the corner….and I’m swooning over Easter recipes and craft projects! I asked two of my favorite bloggers Lindsay and Amber what recipes they would be making for Easter this year and I love how different their answers are!
8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
½ cup butter (at room temperature)
1 ½ cups red velvet cake mix, dry
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup mini chocolate chips
½ cup white chocolate chips
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth (I used a hand mixer, but you can use your Kitchen Aid stand mixer).
Add in the red velvet cake mix, brown sugar and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and all ingredients are combined.
Turn the mixture out onto a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap up into a ball or an egg shape and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (I refrigerated mine overnight) .
Combine the mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in a small bowl. Remove the cheese ball/egg from the refrigerator and unwrap. Roll it in the chocolate and white chocolate chips. Place on a serving plate and serve with Vanilla Wafers.
Prepare for your dessert to be the hit of the party!

Layer lettuce, eggs, peas, mayonnaise, then top with green onions, bacon bits and cheese. Repeat til you’ve filled the dish. Gently sprinkle just a bit of sugar between the layers. (Sugar is the optional part-in case you counted and added up 8 ingredients instead of 7)
The most important part of this recipe is to let it sit and chill (preferrably overnight for the best soaking together of the deliciously weird ingredients)
