As much as I'd LOVE to have an endless wardrobe, my bank account (and our limited closet space) dictate otherwise. Today I'm sharing 7 winter wardrobe staples that I'm wearing on repeat and that you should have in YOUR closet!
I'm back to real life. Three weeks of winter break, holiday festivities, and holiday dresses are done. After a few months of excess, I'm kind of happy to get back to basics. That includes with my wardrobe. The reality is, I wear the same TYPE of item a lot. Mom wardrobe staples and teacher wardrobe staples are pretty much the same.
For the last few months, I've been focusing on investing in some great pieces that I can wear over and over again. Pieces that are worth investing in. I've talked before about general mom wardrobe pieces…..but these seven items? They're my favorite winter wardrobe staples.
Colored Denim: In the last few months, I've gotten a couple new pairs of colored jeans (I have a red pair, and this berry colored pair). I'm not going to lie, at first I was a little apprehensive. I figured they'd draw attention to my thighs, or were only for SUPER thin girls. I wear them ALL the time. They add a pop of color to my basic pieces.
Neutral Sweater: I'm a little embarrassed to admit how many times I've worn this slouchy cream sweater. It goes with EVERYTHING. I've worn it with jeans, dressed it up with knee high boots and coated jeggings for (a rare) date night, and layered it over a pencil skirt.
Knee High Boots: While I already had a number of brown and black boots, this year I FINALLY invested in a great pair of tan boots. Yes, you know them. Because I've probably worn them in about 15 outfit posts. That alone should show you how much I love them. I wear them with swing dresses, leggings, and jeans.
Moccasins: I was on the search for a pair of non-sneaker flats. My favorites? Moccasins and Moccasin boots. They're comfortable, wearable ALL day, and can be worn with tights and a dress or pants. Plus, they can be worn in the summer as well!
Statement Jewelry: Long necklaces are my favorite for dressing up winter layering pieces. They look great with sweaters, tunic tops and jackets. I've been wearing a couple long necklaces, and a few fun pairs of earrings on repeat.
Puffer Vest: I know, I know. Cheesy right? I don't care. I wear one almost everyday. They're perfect to ward off the morning chill and easily removed later.

Now, one more thing. Molly and I are teaming up to do more than host our link up. We are teaming up to share brands that we love……brands that give back. Each week we’ll be collaborating with one of our favorite brands to share the cause they support, and their amazing products.
This week we are teaming up to tell y'all about the line Emma J released with Dawn McCoy to benefit No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry is an amazing organization that provides meals for children in need. And this jewelry line from Emma J? It's STUNNING! Who doesn't love jewelry that supports an amazing cause!
