Stitch Fix Review March 2018

Stitch Fix Review March 2018……what I kept, what I returned and what you should request (plus a giveaway)!

It’s Stitch Fix Review time again!  If you’ve been around these parts for awhile, then you know how much I love Stitch Fix.  I’ve been receiving their style tips and picks for over two years, and love how I can tailor my requests to what I need THAT month (be sure to check out my past fixes HERE).  I’ve used Stitch Fix to discover some great new brands, and a ton of the staples I wear every week? From past Stitch Fix deliveries.

In case you aren’t already a STITCH FIX NUT…….a bit about the service: STITCH FIX is a personalized styling service that sends five pieces to your doorstep.  The great thing? When you join, you fill out an extensive styling profile.  You can request certain items or even ask for options for a specific event.  You choose how often you get a fix (for me it’s once a month).  In the comfort of your own home, you try on all items.  Then you keep what you love, and send back the rest…..and all with free shipping!  There is a $20 styling fee, but you can use that $20 as a credit towards any of the items you keep.  And YES, you can set a price range you feel comfortable with.

SIGN UP TO TRY STITCH FIX HERE (your first styling fee is waived!)

Stitch Fix Review March 2018

This month I LOVED my Fix, and actually had a super hard time deciding what to keep…..since I could have kept it all!

Stitch Fix Review March 2018: Pin this Evolution by Cyrus Reena Hooded Pullover to request it in YOUR fix! Evolution by Cyrus Reena Hooded Pullover (size medium, $68, returned): I loved this simple black hoodie, it fit like a dream and it’s a great neutral piece.  However, I own one that is almost identical.

Stitch Fix Review March 2018: Pin this 41 Hawthorn Heskett Boatneck Knit Top to request it in YOUR fix!

41 Hawthorn Heskett Boatneck Knit Top (size medium, $58, kept) :  THIS TOP FITS LIKE A DREAM!  I’ve worn it three times already.  I love how it’s perfect for casual outfits with jeans and sneakers or can be dressed up with jeggings and heels.

Kut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jeans (size 10, $88, returned): I loved loved loved the fit of these, but wasn’t totally sold on the wash.  They were really light, and I thought I’d get sick of the color after awhile.

Superga 2750 Cotmetu Metallic Coated Sneakers (size 9.5, $79, kept): Who doesn’t want just one more pair of great sneakers? I actually own these exact shoes in a print, but I loved seeing them in this deep, shimmery shade of navy.  They pair perfectly with jeans and tees, and I even wore them to an event recently with a cute t shirt dress.  I’m so glad I kept them!

Stitch Fix Review March 2018: Pin these Kut From The Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jeans to request them in YOUR fix!

Sundry Maddee French Terry Sweatshirt (size medium, $95, returned): Something about this red pullover just didn’t appeal to me.  It felt a little too short in the torso, and I didn’t LOVE the fabric.  I did love the color, but not enough to keep it!

If you love reading Stitch Fix Review posts, be sure to check out what each of my friends got in THEIR Fixes this month (and we’re giving one lucky winner a $250 Stitch Fix Gift Card)!

I love kut jeans! I have a pair of Reese ankle jeans from a few years ago that are too big. I hope they still make that style bc i’d like a new pair!

📣What conversations with your kids are you gear 📣What conversations with your kids are you gearing up to have? 📣⠀
📣Let’s be honest......there are conversation topics that as parents we all know we need to bring up. From body changes to the birds and the bees to underage drinking.....as our kids get older, we’ve got a lot to tackle. And I get it, unless you happen to be a 15 years in the classroom teacher like me....this probably isn’t something you have experience with (plus, trust me....it’s a whole other ball game with your OWN kids). ⠀
⠀
📣I’m excited to team up with my friends at Responsibility.org to talk to YOU about having those talks with your family. This month is Alcohol Responsibility Month, and it’s the PERFECT time to start an ongoing dialog around underage drinking.⠀
⠀
📣 A few tips for having those ongoing conversations with your kids:⠀
⠀
📢Be human. It’s ok to not know all the answers. Your job? To lead with love and openness, and to use resources and experts to find the answers.⠀
⠀
📢Know that these are ongoing conversations. Hard topics aren’t a one and done type of dialog. As your children grow up, and have new experiences, you’ll have more conversations.⠀
⠀
📢Facts and Data are more effective than scare tactics. For discussions about Underage Drinking, I love Ask, Listen, Learn as a resource for parents and teachers. It addresses brain development, and has some REALLY cool videos and interactive tools for kids in grades 4-7.⠀
⠀
📣I’m sharing more tips and resources over on the blog today.

🌴These happy faces? Are because we spent the day lounging by the pool instead of hiding from loud machines. If you follow along on our stories, you know that we came home from a trip to Bass Lake and Yosemite LAST week to…..WATER EVERYWHERE. It’s all still being sorted out, but…..in the meantime there are some very big and loud machines starting the process of removing the water from our floors / cabinets and downstairs area. ⠀
⠀
🌴So when we had the chance to do a little staycation at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach after our Touch of Disney day…….CLEARLY it was a YES. This was my first time to this property, and it won’t be the last. Three pools, super close to a ton of fun activities (18 miles from Disneyland, and an 8 minute drive from the Lido Marina Village), plus they’ve got a GREAT dinner option and a coffee shop in the morning. This was JUST what we needed, now I’m just busy plotting ways to stay longer.⠀
⠀
🌴Have you done an emergency home renovation? Did you stay? Because, I’m about to vote for us just taking up residence at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach until all work is done. You support this choice, right? ⠀
