Traveling to Santa Fe soon? This Santa Fe Travel Guide will help you plan where to eat, where to drink, and what to do!
Planning a trip to Santa Fe? I recently spent a week in New Mexico for a conference, and fell in love with Santa Fe. This Santa Fe Travel Guide will share my favorite places to eat, drink and be merry!
Where to Eat in Santa Fe
Tia Sophia’s (210 West San Francisco St.) – The BEST breakfast burritos in town (expect a wait…..arrive early)!
Tecolote Cafe (1616 Saint Michael's Dr.) – Far away from downtown (plan on taking a taxi)….but totally worth it! The baked goods? AMAZING!
The Pantry ( 1820 Cerrillos Road ) – The omelettes are amazing……and anything with chiles? Foodie heaven.
Lunch / Dinner:
Plaza Cafe ( 54 Lincoln Ave ) – Classic american dinner with amazing New Mexico classics. The tacos? The green chili? Must eats!
El Farol ( 808 Canyon Road ) – Spanish tapas in the midst of Canyon Road (gallery row)…..amazing food…..order the chef's choice!
The Shed ( 113½ East Palace Avenue ) – This was recommended by every single local we asked for tips from……the burgers (served at lunch only) are amazing, as are the tacos and the sangria. It gets VERY busy, arrive early or make reservations.
Where to Drink in Santa Fe:
La Fonda Hotel ( 100 E San Francisco St ) – Head up to the Bell Tower Bar, order a margarita, and enjoy the sunset (get there early to snag a table). If you love classic margaritas The Double Barrel is amazing, and if you're brave……The Bell Ringer made with jalapeno tequila is to die for!
Del Charro (attached to the Inn of the Governors -101 W Alameda St ) – Great margaritas and bar food……casual and a ton of fun!
What to Do in Santa Fe:
Canyon Road – Canyon Road is about a ten minute walk from the Plaza, and totally worth the trek. A row of galleries, in the evening live music plays……and the sculptures you'll see? Amazing!
Loretto Chapel – The stunning Loretto Chapel houses the famous Spiral Staircase……a full spiral staircase with no means of support? It's a must see.
Frito Pie – Visit the Five and Dime in the Plaza……their Frito Pie is a MUST EAT.
