As y’all know, we’re all about the Art of Entertaining these days. Babysitters are crazy expensive, and once you add drinks with friends to the cost…..nights at a bar just aren’t on our regular agenda. So, we have our friends over for nights in. This weekend, I teamed up with Estancia to throw a sangria tasting party. It was honestly the easiest party I’ve thrown since we moved into our house, and the sangria recipes were a HUGE hit!
Estancia Wines are some of my favorites……they’re delicious, and a total steal. High quality wine for a great price? I mean, it doesn’t get better than that. To prep for our sangria tasting party, I decided to use three different wines to create three distinctive sangria recipes. FYI, people asked a million times which wine was in each….so I highly suggest placing the bottles by your sangria for reference. Other than the sangria, we served a simple cheese to compliment each sangria flavor. Easy enough right?
Sangria is a make ahead drink, in fact…..I suggest making it a few hours in advance and letting it chill in your fridge. The flavors blend, and you can relax and enjoy your party. Such a win!
Sangria Tasting Party recipes:
Peach Sangria:
1 bottle of Estancia Cabernet Sauvignon
1 60 ounce bottle of peach juice
1 bottle of sparkling water
frozen strawberries
Cheese Pairing: Apricot Stilton
Cucumber Mint Sangria:
1 bottle of Estancia Chardonnay
1 bottle of sparkling water
2 sliced cucumbers
1 package of mint leaves
Cheese Pairing: Truffle Cheese
Strawberry Lemonade Sangria:
1 bottle of Estancia Pinot Noir
1 pitcher of strawberry lemonade (1 frozen can worth)
1 bottle of sparkling water
frozen cherries
Cheese Pairing: Smoked Gouda Decor Tips:
-Use what you’ve got! These mason jars have been hanging around since our wedding. I added some burlap and ribbon and voila!
-Keep a basic white tablecloth on hand. We’ve used this one a million times, it washes well and looks a LOT nicer than a plastic tablecloth.
-A table runner adds a lot. I bought a roll of burlap for this party, used it for the table runner and also to make our Cheers Y’all banner. It cost less than $15…….and totally made the tablescape!Have you thrown any parties recently? What are your favorite drink recipes and Art of Entertaining tips?
Love sangria as much as I do? Check out these sangria recipes:

These all look delicious and what a fun party idea!
When Cole and I were in Spain, we did a cooking class that taught us how to make seafood paella and make our own sangria. It was SO fun, and I’m sad to admit that I haven’t tried making it since. I totally need to, though, because the strawberry lemonade sangria sounds AMAZING!
A Sangria party sounds like a party I need to attend. Each of those delicious recipes is wonderful!
