It's finally here! My full natural skincare and natural makeup guide. Let's discuss the backstory to this. I am definitely NOT the person you'd expect to go on an all natural beauty routine. I'm a makeup addict, and love a great skincare product. A couple months ago, I attended the opening of an all natural skincare beauty shop here in LA.
After an entire night of listening to experts talk about natural skincare…..I was motivated to do a little more research. Now, we all know that our skin is our largest organ. And we also know that (obviously) less toxins and chemicals are better for us. But, to be honest…..I didn't believe that all natural skincare products would be as effective. But the more I researched, the more interested I was.
So, I set up a challenge for myself. Could I use all natural skincare products and all natural makeup ONLY for 30 days? Could a “regular” woman find all natural beauty products she loved as much as her regular ones? It's been way more than 30 days….and I tried out a LOT of products. So many in fact, that I split my results into two blog posts and a full guide. BeautyCounter Face Balm: This face balm is the holy grail of makeup removers for dry skin. It removes all makeup, adds moisture to my face, and cleans off like a dream.
Simply Sugars Green Tea Facial Scrub: I have very sensitive skin, and have a pretty hard time finding a daily facial scrub that is both gentle and effective. Simply Sugars line is amazing, and perfect for sensitive faces.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil: This is my favorite product out of everything I tried. Marula Oil might be my holy grail. It moisturizes, repairs irritation, reduces redness, fights signs of aging……it's the BEST. If you followed along as I shared a little of this on Instagram stories, I was originally using a Marula Oil based skin balm….but it was REALLY pricey. This is just as effective and a way better price!
Juice Beauty Sensitive Green Apple Peel: I'm not going to lie…..facial peels freak me out. My skin is so sensitive, that I'm always afraid they'll do more damage than good. Well after some convincing from one of the founders of Juice Beauty, I tested out their Green Apple Peel for Sensitive Skin. It was amazing! Exfoliating, brightening, and totally didn't irritate my skin. It's a part of my skincare routine each and every week!
Derma E Active Charcoal Face Wash: Charcoal is perfect for drawing out impurities…..so when I feel a breakout coming on? I use this Active Charcoal Face Wash once a day.
