Is your daughter begging for sleepover parties? This mother daughter sleepover is the PERFECT alternate, and bonus? It’s the perfect Hello Kitty Party set up!
Thank you to World Market for sponsoring our mother daughter sleepover.
What age do you think is appropriate for kids to start having sleepovers? We haven’t made a firm decision about our family’s sleepover policy, but I do know that five is too young (except for with family members). Lately Lydia has been BEGGING to have a sleepover, but her friends’ parents are in the boat…..we all feel our kids are just a little too young.
My solution? Once a month, Lydia and I do special at home mother daughter sleepover nights. I prepare fun activities, we eat special treats, and honestly? It’s a really fun way to plan for some quality time, and Lydia feels like she’s getting a sleepover (but I’m pretty sure we all get WAY more sleep than we would during a REAL sleepover).
This Month’s Mother Daughter Sleepover: A Hello Kitty Party
I’m not going to lie, we are total World Market addicts. Our local store (shout out to the Sherman Oaks location) is up the street from Lydia’s preschool, and she usually comes with me to do a little shopping after pick up. We get sauces, great wine, and decor items there. Earlier this week we popped in to look for Valentine’s Day gift ideas, and the first thing we saw? A HUGE NEW DISPLAY: World Market just released a huge collection in partnership with Hello Kitty!
Now, you guys now we are huge Hello Kitty and Sanrio fans…..and all these new items? Seemed like the perfect theme for our next mother daughter sleepover: a Hello Kitty party! We loaded up our cart with coloring books, delicious treats, Hello Kitty Sheet masks, the cutest lip glosses, and I may or may not have grabbed a bottle of Hello Kitty wine to keep for a future girls’ night.
I love how whimsical and fun all the products are, and they were totally perfect for mother daughter slumber party ideas and activities.
