One of the questions I'm asked most? How in the word did I get our daughter to play independently? Today I'm sharing how to build a toddler playroom that your kids will actually use (and enjoy)!
Let's talk about toddlers and play. A toddler who enjoys playing on their own? That's the holy grail of parenting, right? Every tired mom pictures sitting on the couch, sipping a warm cup of coffee while their child plays HAPPILY. Today I'm talking about how to set up a toddler playroom that your kids will actually use.
The key to toddler play? Appropriate activities, accessibility, and variety. What does that mean? Toys and materials that are appropriate for the age, storage that children can access on their own, and enough items so that they can select each with interest.
Toys and Materials: Select toys and materials based on your toddler's interests (for example my own toddler is obsessed with princesses and fantasy….so you'll see a lot of castles, princess toys for imaginative play and dresses for dress up).
