Looking for the perfect gingham dress? This one is perfect for the dog days of summer and can even be worn into the fall!

Oh the memories……these are the last of my pictures from my trip to New York last month.  It feels like a lifetime ago now that summer vacation is over and I'm back at work.

If you follow along on Instagram, then you know I was OBSESSED with this gingham dress right before I left for my trip.   I spotted it inside my local Nordstrom, but not in my size.  Then I went to my local J.Crew store….and they didn't carry it.  So, I was THAT person.  I tried on the same dress in a different print (for size reference)…..and then stood in the middle of the store and ordered it on my phone.  Plus I paid a ridiculous amount for speedy shipping…..because I had to have it for my trip.  And it was worth every penny.  I don't think I've ever gotten more compliments on a dress!

So how in the world am I planning to wear this into fall? That's what you're wondering right? Well for the amount I paid for shipping, I need to get a little more use out of this gingham dress!  My plan? Swap those heels for mules and add a brightly colored cardigan!  I think with a bright colored sweater, this will be an adorable fall dress that is super flattering on my pear shaped body (that bright color will draw the eyes upward)!
