“The love in the air is thicker than the smoke.”
We all watched weeks ago as fires ravaged Sonoma County in Northern California. For me? Seeing those fires hit VERY close to home. I grew up in Marin County (the county in between Sonoma County and San Francisco)……and grew up visiting Sonoma, Napa and the surrounding areas. I actually lived in Sonoma for a period of time after college.
As I sat in Los Angeles, watching the news….I started to hear stories. Family friends, college friends…….being evacuated. Losing their homes. Their children losing their schools. And it just broke my heart. I felt like I needed to do something.
Through the magic of Instagram, here we are. I decided to ask YOU GUYS. I asked on Instagram stories about any shops or small businesses that were supporting those who had been displaced during the fires. And Amy answered. Amy owns Pepper Place Design, a brick and mortar store and an online store here in California. She told me she had a project she thought I'd love. And here we are.
Five of us are working together for the Collaboration for Good project this Giving Tuesday. We each designed a tee, and picked a charity that is important to us. Our tees? Support those causes.
So here it is…….a tee to remind us that we all need to wear our hearts on our sleeves (or our pockets) a little more.
The Details: The tee retails for $36. Classrooms in Sonoma County will be supported through a donation to Donor's Choose.
