Gearing up for fall shopping? Let me guess…..the idea of spending a ton on kid’s clothes has you cringing a little bit, right? Today I’m sharing our back to school capsule wardrobe. Everything your kiddo needs to get from summer to winter in style…..for under $300!
This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Can you believe it’s back to school time already? Today is the first day of school in Los Angeles, and like the kids…..I’m all excited to wear my first day of school outfit. Yup, teachers totally have them too. This year, we decided to take advantage of Back to School sales and coupons and to buy Lydia’s ENTIRE school wardrobe at once. I couldn’t believe how much money it saved, a back to school capsule wardrobe is the way to go!
How to Create a Back to School Capsule Wardrobe:
- Stay within the same color palette: Aside from a few brighter pieces, we picked neutral toned clothing for Lydia’s Back to School wardrobe. It’s easier to keep clean, and mixes and matches easily.
- Stock up on basics: Those $8 leggings? We bought a BUNCH. They’re a steal, and they go with everything.
- Think layers:Jackets, vests, sweaters….layers help create new looks with the same pieces.
- Wait for coupons: We bought Lydia’s ENTIRE back to school capsule wardrobe from Oshkosh B’Gosh……because we had a 25% off coupon. I love that their clothes are high quality, great fabrics, and totally stylish. Plus, who can beat that price? (the coupon we used is valid until mid-September…..grab it below!)

In addition to having adorable, affordable clothes……Oshkosh B’Gosh has an amazing initiative that allows families to give back to their local communities while Back to School shopping. The B’gosh Jeanius initiative allows shoppers to donate cash or new blue jeans at each store location. In addition, shoppers can donate online……and The Carter’s Charitable Foundation will match all cash donations (up to $50,000) and denim donations with a new item of clothing.
So mamas, does your kiddo have a back to school capsule wardrobe? What pieces do you think are the most important?
