Oh hello almost spring break. Yup, we have three work days to go……and I just can't wait! We have family plans, and I have a full blown DO NOTHING day on the books. Lydia is going to school, my husband is going to work….and me? Shopping online, no makeup, and mindless tv. Sounds like heaven, right? (If you follow me on snapchat….expect no makeup monday!) Ok…..so let's talk life hacks. Things that make life a little easier. This weekend, I actually went clothes shopping. For myself. Alone. And it took HOURS. I can't remember the last time I've wandered around a mall looking for the perfect pair of pants. Shopping with a toddler in tow? Not exactly the same as those leisurely shopping days of years past. So, my current life hack? Stitch Fix. I've talked a bit about it before….and wanted to share a few tips I've picked up.Stitch Fix is a personal stylist in a box. Each month (you can set frequency or do one Fix at a time)…..I receive five pieces in the mail. My stylist picks pieces based on my style preferences (you fill out a LONG survey and can link your Pinterest page) plus any specific requests I have. This month, I asked for spring dresses…..and isn't this polka dot dress adorable?
Things I love about Stitch Fix….you don't HAVE to keep everything. You can return items you don't love free of charge. You can also set prices you are comfortable with. You pay a $20 styling fee, but it's applicable to any item that you purchase.
Now, my tips? BE SPECIFIC. You can write notes to your stylist with requests. You also give feedback to your stylist after each fix about what you love and don't. I've found the more specific I am, the better my fixes get!So what did I ask for in NEXT month's fix? Colored jeans, tunics, and layering pieces……I can't wait to see what she sends!
Want to see other pieces from my recent Stitch Fix boxes? These boyfriend jeans are PERFECTION and this striped tee is a great staple! Have you tried Stitch Fix? I reveal all five items that arrive each month on snapchat….and love getting your feedback……so be sure to follow me there!
