Ok you guys, confession time. I know I’ve mentioned this….but since Lydia was born my husband and I have been HORRIBLE about setting aside time for dates. I have a million valid excuses. My husband works on the weekends, we both get up at 5 am every day to get to work on time, babysitters are expensive, we both feel like we spend so much time away from Lydia……but in the end…..it’s something we need to prioritize. So, this is my public confession……we are committing to a MINIMUM of three dates a month. Yes, we’re gonna have to get creative. Yes, it means spending a little less money on other things. But, it’s important.
Last weekend, for one of the first times ever……we booked a babysitter in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Robbie had an audition and I had an event. But the bonus? We both finished at the same time and snuck in a day date. And guys? Lydia had a BLAST with her sitter. They did art projects, she took a nap, and then we were home. So all that concern I had about her not being with us? Maybe I was being a little extreme. So, ironically…..this new series I’m starting comes at the PERFECT time. I’m teaming up with one of my favorite brands to share bare skin fashion…..as in, perfect for date nights (or days)! Is anyone else having the WORST dry skin ever this winter? Yup, me too. Skinfix is my newest date night (and everyday) must have. Let’s be honest, dry skin doesn’t exactly look cute!
Skinfix products are dermatologist recommended and free of soy, gluten, parabens and phthalates. They are made with natural ingredients…..and they’re SUPER effective. Skinfix’s Ultra Rich Body Butter is ultra rich yet quick absorbing, and within the last few weeks has become my new must have lotion.

So…..are we the only ones struggling with date nights? Here’s my question……suggestions please……how do you structure date nights??? What are your date night favorites?
