Hello November. Hello holidays, and hustle and bustle. Jeez, as I look at my schedule for the next few months….I remembering how easy it is to put myself last over the holiday season. Between playdates, trips to the mall, holiday activities and travel……I feel like I’m gonna blink and it’ll be January. My goal? To keep myself healthy and balanced between now and New Year’s Eve. Remember when I talked about my Nutrimom experience? Well, man am I glad I’ll be continuing to work with this awesome health and wellness program for the next few months. I need someone to give me some Personal Coaching through this holiday season! I’ve been checking in with my Nutrimom coach via phone and email since I started working with her…..and I’m (no joke) sort of in love. Tough and nutty about what I eat? Nope. Supportive and honest? Yes she is. I love that she’s helping me make realistic goals for myself. From cutting down the caffeine to upping my water intake…..she’s let me pick my own nutritional goals and then helped me plan small steps to achieve them. Our latest goal? Family nutrition. Yup, Nutrimom helps with kid nutrition too. Lydia is the tiniest toddler. She seriously just hit twenty pounds (and she’s almost two). So I worry about her food intake. She eats….but is it enough? Are we instilling good eating habits? I spent my last session with my coach talking about Lydia, and some goals for her. Luckily, Lydia’s eating great meals. They’re balanced and she has a great palate. Our big goal? To eat together as a family more often. With our nutty schedules, my husband and I often eat after she’s in bed. But I think she needs the experience of eating together, and my coach totally agreed. In fact, she had some great info for me about family meals! I’ll continue to share my experiences with Nutrimom……but in the meantime, feel free to hold me accountable. Ask if we’ve been getting that family mealtime in…..our goal is four meals together a week!
