#FalsiesPushUpDrama #CollectiveBiasHello date night! (I’m realizing I say those words all too rarely.) Let’s be honest, babysitters are expensive…..and so getting out for date nights doesn’t happen as often as I’d like. The other night, we decided to have a “family date”…..yup, all three of us went out to dinner. I wanted to treat it like a real date night….so in the 10 minutes I had to get ready? I opted to step up my makeup, and stick with the simple jeans and a tshirt that I was already wearing. This date night makeup made ALL the difference. It took less than 10 minutes, and bonus? Every single one of these items costs under $10! (you can thank me later)
And that family date night? Really fun. It made me realize we don’t have to always have a babysitter to go on a date. Plus, it’s important for Lydia to see us still dating each other…..don’t you think?
Date Night Makeup:
Ok…..so looking to go from daytime to date night makeup in no time? Think bold colors and some simple blending.
- Add eyeshadow: I wear neutral brown shadow during the day, so to step it up from day to night I pulled out my same shadow palette. I used deeper browns in my eyelid crease, and blended them with that same tan I use during the day. Deepening the color a little bit added nighttime flair and I didn’t need to start all over again!
- Mascara, Mascara, Mascara: I’m a mascara nut. If I could, I would wear false lashes ALL the time. I love how a great lash makes you look more awake, and completes any makeup look. One of my new favorites ( I’ve even replaced my department store mascara with this)……is the NEW Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. I’m obsessed. This is the first mascara to deliver dramatic volume of a 45 degree lift, and in only one coat.
- Brows: I fill in my brows every morning. And I’ve been buying a very pricey brow mascara…..until now. Maybelline’s Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara rivals it’s pricier cousin, and I love the brush. It filled in my brows and added a finishing touch to my eyes.
- Final step for a great date night makeup look? Always red lips. Always. You can’t go wrong! This time I wore Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor in Neon Red…..and it’s the perfect bright red lip!
Bonus? I bought all four of these products at Walmart for under $30!What are your favorite recent makeup purchases? Date night products?
