Did you know that it is National Ice Cream Month? We’ve been seeing ice cream everywhere, right? In fact, Lydia tried ice cream for the very first time yesterday! She loved it! And after she went to bed, I decided to work on a National Ice Cream month treat of my own. My favorite treat for National Ice Cream Month? This yummy Grown Up Bananas Foster Milkshake. It’s creamy, sweet and the rum included gives it JUST the right grown-up flavor.
I’ve teamed up with Real California Milk to share this creamy treat and a little info about their product. As a native Californian, I’m a huge fan! Did you know that California is the country’s leading producer of milk, ice cream, butter, nonfat dry milk and whey protein concentrate? I didn’t either! When purchasing ice cream this month (or any month) look for brands that feature the Real California Milk seal to be sure that they are made with 100% real California milk.
Grown Up Bananas Foster Milkshake:
4 scoops of Real California vanilla ice cream
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of caramel sauce
2-3 jiggers of rum
Garnish with whip cream, sliced bananas, and cinnamon.
