Summer is a tricky time beauty wise, isn't it? Between trips to the beach, the pool, the playground, and hikes……the sun and heat wreak havoc on my skin and hair. Those outside playdates are awesome…..but now that summer is halfway over, I'm noticing the effects all all that sun exposure. I've rounded up 5 must have summer beauty products, and bonus they're all under $20!
Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer Aloe Soothe: This continuous spray lotion is my new post sun go to. It moisturizes and absorbs in seconds, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed, even after a full day of sun exposure. Pure aloe is amazing for treating damaged skin, and it's one of the main ingredients in this soothing spray.
Moisturizing Lip Gloss: The sun effects lips as much as the rest of your skin. Am I the only one with chapped lips all summer long? My solution? A great lip gloss in EVERY bag. If it's there, I use it.
Sea Salt Spray: Sun exposure plus styling heat leaves my hair a disaster every year by the first day of fall. So, I'm finally making the right choice this summer. Easy beachy waves, little heat styling, and being gentle with my locks.
Sunscreen: Ironically, our favorite sunscreen these days is one we bought for Lydia. Mineral-based sunscreen is less greasy, and protects the whole family from major sun damage. Life hack? Set the alarm on your phone so that you remember to reapply every 3-4 hours! You'll thank yourself later!
Facial Spray: Regardless of attire, the skin on your face is ALWAYS exposed. This means the most sun damage happens there. My skin is amazingly dry, so in addition to my usual facial skincare……I use a facial spray a few times a day. It leave my face refreshed and my skin doesn't feel parched!
