This post has been a long time coming. Y’all noticed I changed my hair, right? I actually have gotten a number of emails about it….so thought this was the perfect time to discuss the easy beach waves I’ve been wearing for the last few months.
So, I did it. I gave in, and got a mom haircut. I couldn’t take the styling time anymore for my straight hair. I was seriously spending at least 20 minutes each morning flat ironing my hair…..and it was driving me nuts. I’ve ALWAYS had straight hair, so my hairdresser was shocked when I sat down in her chair a few months ago and pulled out a picture of easy beach waves. I told her I needed easy, quick and stylish.
I was a little apprehensive…..but I swear, I’m never going back. It takes me less than ten minutes to style my hair, and it lasts for three days. Yup, three whole days!
Steps 1 – 3: Wash your hair with Beach Blonde™Cool Dip™ Shampoo and Beach Blonde™Smooth Seas™ Conditioner…..these are great for getting rid of product residue and tangles. Dry your hair with an old t-shirt (towels can create extra frizz). Using a basic curling spray, scrunch your hair and allow to air dry overnight. (1) pin up the top half of your hair (2) wrap one inch sections around a pearl curling wand and allow to cool (3) allow bottom layer to cool completely Steps 4 – 6: (4) repeat curling process with top portion (5) spray Beach Blonde™Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray in hair (super important for the texturized look to your waves)(6) loosen curls with fingers
A couple tips:
1) John Frieda’s Beach Blonde products are great for any hair color (I used them as a redhead too)…..they aren’t meant just for blondes!
2) All products are available at Target……be sure to grab the shampoo and conditioner as well, product buildup will weigh down your waves and ruin the whole look!
