I was writing an email to a girlfriend earlier this week talking about my favorite new mommy apps, and thought…..”There's a blog post here!”
These apps helped me keep things (sort of) under control during the first year of Lydia's life…….
Baby Connect – This is the best app for record keeping. Seriously. I used it to track everything: nursing (it has a timer, and even marks which side you've already done), diaper changes, medication, sleep times, food…..and you can even add multiple users so that it's easy to communicate between caregivers!
Baby Monitor HD – We did a ton of research before buying a monitor and camera. And are very happy with our choice! We bought a Wi-Fi Baby camera, and use this app which hooks up to any webcam. It's accessible from your phone, even when you're not home. That sure gave me peace of mind when I went back to work!
The Wonder Weeks – Want to know why your little one is fussy? When the next big developmental milestone is hitting? The Wonder Weeks app sets up a calendar for your little one, and marks when each developmental leap is starting plus gives a pretty awesome description of what to expect and how to help your baby through it.
Moms on Call – If you're a scheduled mom like I am, Moms on Call is for you. This scheduler app is amazing. It contains schedules for each age and they change every couple months. They were always spot on for Lydia……all schedules were created by the two pediatric nurses that run Moms on Call.
White Noise Lite – Lydia has a white noise machine at home. However, naps don't always occur at home (obviously). This app was awesome for naps on the go, road trips, etc.
Weight Watchers – This one's for mommy. Even if you're not trying to lose weight, the Weight Watchers app is a great way to keep track of what you're eating. They have a program for nursing mothers and it helps to keep track of all your nutritional needs!
